St. Albert walking trails
The city maintains 10 official walking trails in and around St. Albert, providing residents with opportunities to explore the beautiful forested areas around the community. Leading into the downtown core from Mountain Avenue, St. Albert Trail is a great spot to walk dogs as it offers leash-free access. The nine-kilometer trail takes about two hours to complete, with scenic views of the City Centre and Sturgeon River. Recreational trails lead throughout St. Albert's parks and green spaces such as the Walterdale Hill, Bow Valley, and Rotary Park trails and parks can be utilized for walking, running, or cycling.
Hiking
