We have 74 sites that sit on 24 acres in a beautiful country setting. We are conveniently located near Interstate 30 and within 15 minutes of shopping and dining. There is a 1 acre catch and release lake that will be stocked with a variety of fish this spring. Also coming this spring we will have a dog park, playground, Event Barn and pavilion. We have a restroom/shower and laundry facility available at the office. There are many acres of walking trails in phase 2 of the RV park. Phase 2 will be coming later this year with tiny cabins and treehouses available to rent. We offer nightly, weekly and monthly rates. The Texas State Railroad Campground is located 3 miles west of the beautiful East Texas town of Rusk and is a great spot for a fun southern escape! We offer campsites with water only, water and electricity or full hookups with 30/50-amp service and sewer. The Grounds offer picnic tables, fire rings, and WiFi! There are separate showers and restrooms onsite, a nature trail and a campground office complete with a gift shop and firewood for purchase. The 15-acre Cherokee Lake is where fishermen will find a variety of fish including crappie, catfish, striped bass, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, bluegill and largemouth bass. Whether they are casting, spinning or flying fish, chances of getting a bite are good! Onsite, travelers may look forward to historic sightseeing. For the history buff, there's plenty of other historic sites, a number of green spaces of nature walks and scenic viewing and of course, visitors may expect great local eateries and bars to enjoy.
