Just beyond the campground, campers can look forward to excellent attractions such as the Franklin Drive Thru Safari, Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History and the Nocturnal Wonderland festival. There's also Grand Station Entertainment, Waco Mammoth National Monument and Brazos Valley Worldfest. The Texas State Railroad Campground is located 3 miles west of the beautiful East Texas town of Rusk and is a great spot for a fun southern escape! We offer campsites with water only, water and electricity or full hookups with 30/50-amp service and sewer. The Grounds offer picnic tables, fire rings, and WiFi! There are separate showers and restrooms onsite, a nature trail and a campground office complete with a gift shop and firewood for purchase. The 15-acre Cherokee Lake is where fishermen will find a variety of fish including crappie, catfish, striped bass, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, bluegill and largemouth bass. Whether they are casting, spinning or flying fish, chances of getting a bite are good! Onsite, travelers may look forward to historic sightseeing. For the history buff, there's plenty of other historic sites, a number of green spaces of nature walks and scenic viewing and of course, visitors may expect great local eateries and bars to enjoy. Creeks Edge Cottages is a tiny home community designed specifically for your perfect short-term stay!  We are located just a mile outside of Stephenville off of county road 258 right along-side Alarm Creek.  The community is surrounded by trees on 3 sides which gives it a private secluded ambiance once you are onsite.  There are 10 fully furnished cottages on the property with the capacity to sleep from 2 to 6 people.  We do rentals from one to 28 days and would love to have you stay with us while you are visiting Erath county!
