The aquatic plants in the water make it appear blue/green, and it's quick the sight! You can also check out the sink hole, try one of the hiking trails around the park or go birding. The Lea Lake Campground is located at the Bottomless Lakes State Park and is the perfect spot for your next New Mexico adventure! The Lake Van Recreation is located in Dexter, New Mexico on Lake Van. This is an especially popular site, not just for excellent fishing and boating opportunities on the lake, but also for its proximity to several excellent attractions. Visitors can take advantage of day trips to the Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell. These two sites in particular are fun and exciting spots where campers can learn some interesting facts about New Mexico's geological landscape and history with the "unknown." The area is also great for immersing yourself in pristine terrain, so don't forget to carve out time to hike or bike through the various trails.

Take advantage of the spacious and well laid-out Desert Paradise Mobile Home & RV Village near the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. There are plenty of hiking trails near Orogrande or near High Rolls, and others at Cloudcroft. It's near several great attractions such as Cloudcroft, the Apache Reservation Casino and the White Sands Missile Range. The Holloman AFB FamCamp is used for military professionals and is located within the New Mexico Air Base. The park is safe and well-known for its easy access to sights like the White Sands National Monument, Space History Museum, CLoudcroft, Pistacio Farms, Ruidoso, White Sands Missile Range and the Organ Mountains. If you like history, you'll have a blast at this campground. 

Set against the breathtaking Sacramento Mountains, the Oliver Lee Memorial park features a historic ranch house, quiet camping in the Chihuahuan Desert, and the unique oasis of pools of water under the cottonwood trees of Dog Canyon. Visitors can look forward to a short walk on the Riparian Nature Trail or a challenging hike up the Dog Canyon Trail, as well as acres and acres of beautiful desert vistas. Brantley Lake is New Mexico's southernmost lake, and is an oasis of flora, fauna and gorgeous New Mexico skies. Enjoy iconic sunrises and sunsets over the lake, as well as exceptional bird watching. If you're a fan of water activities, look forward to the area's best canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing, and for the land lovers, there's plenty of hiking, biking and scenic viewing to be done. Hike or bike the trails around the site, and enjoy the warmth as you stand on one of the many hills and take in the breadth of the land. Motorized vehicle sports are also common as is picnicking on the leveled plains. For the real magic, just look up at night time for a breathtaking sunset filled with reds and heated oranges, and keep looking up as the stars come out in full luminescence. 

Visit Lake Sumner to enjoy the exquisite terrain iconic of the southwest. Bring your camera to capture tall, looming mountains in the background and acres of forested plains. The park is popular maong people who love watersports, but also offers excellent trails and pathways for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Enjoy swimming, boating and of course excellent fly fishing while you're there. The park is also close to Santa Fe, and is a great stopping point if you're headed that way. The park is also relatively close to the Bosque Redondo Memorial and Fort Sumner. 

The East Side Campground is located at Sumner Lake, New Mexico and is a great place for a quiet yet adventurous southwestern vacation. Enjoy excellent fishing at the lake for trout, bass, crappie and walleye, and plenty of water surface for water sports such as swimming, boating, canoeing and paddle boarding. Of course, with so much open area to explore, many campers go on long hikes or bike rides along the trails or make their own paths. Also be sure to keep your eyes open around dawn or dusk for one of those iconic New Mexico sunrises or sunsets. You won't be disappointed. 

Look forward to the spectacular sand dunes at the Mescalero Sand North Dune Park. The dune field stretches over most of the area and lends itself well to terrain cycles, sand rails and dune buggies. The dunes, mostly made up of quartz particles, are constantly changing and move up to a foot a year. There's also some unusual natural features such as shallow water pools and mature cottonwood trees. Visitors can enjoy this vast and beautiful sand dune for all the disc-surfing they can handle, and then look forward to quiet, cool evenings looking up at a clear, beautiful sky. 

Located just 14 miles southeast of Roswell, New Mexico is the Bottomless Lake campground. Enjoy an almost insane number of outdoor activities, so get your water-proof sunscreen out and packed.
