The Jemez Falls Campground is located in a stunning ponderosa pine and forest area to the east of the East Fork Jemez River. Visitors can enjoy the views from acres of farmland, hiking through the bosque and fishing in the irrigation ditches. Very quiet and close to the city, its amenities and small town attractions, the Senator Willie M Chavez State Park is a great place to stay if you're passing through Belen.

3 miles west from Ghost Ranch Education & Retreat Center is the Echo Amphitheater, a favorite among serial visitors to Abiquiu, New Mexico. Schools, clubs and vacationers take advantage of the covered picnic areas and Echo Amphitheater Trail. The last part of the trail has steep stairs leading up to the Echo Canyon, where the rocks are a natural habitat for snakes, so be sure to stay on the trail and off the rocks!
