The Kiowa National Grassland is a primitive campsite located in Mills, New Mexico. The area is surrounded by juniper and pinion pine which rings the top of Mills Canyon; although there's not very much shade for people, if you bring your horses, you're sure to find shade for them. The area is popular for its wide, open spaces, providing plenty of room for ATV enthusiasts, equestrians and portable corrals. With hundreds of acres of wild, desert land, this park is perfect for clear skies and star gazing, biking and exploring, so feel free to go out there and explore! The Elk Run Campground is located in El Vado Lake, New Mexico and is a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Be sure to bring your reel for excellent trout and salmon fishing, and your gear for paddle boarding, cruising, kayaking or just plain swimming. Campers enjoy this sit particularly for its fresh, crisp air and gorgeous views of the valley below. It's also great for hiking and mountain biking so don't miss out on that as well as the winter sports made popular by the mountains slopes. The Pinion Beach Campground is located at the tip of a small peninsula in El Vado Lake, New Mexico. Be sure to bring your reel for excellent trout and salmon fishing, swimming and boating at over 7,000 feet up. Campers enjoy this sit particularly for its fresh, crisp air and gorgeous views of the valley below. Its also great for hiking and mountain biking so don't miss out on that as well as the winter sports made popular by the mountains slopes. The Elephant Rock Campground is located in the Carson National Forest, and is well-known for the Red River and Eagle Rock Lake being nearby. Campers can look forward to excellent fishing at the lakes, as well as opportunities for kayaking, swimming and boating. Visitors can also expect great hiking trails and large open areas for picnicking and exploring. The area is thick with thriving forestry, so prepare for some spectacular views, and occasional bird or deer roaming the mountain regions. 

The Willow Creek Campground is located at the Heron Lake State Park in New Mexico and neighbors Santa Fe. It's the perfect spot for fresh air and acres and acres of gorgeous forestry and southwestern beauty. Enjoy fishing trout and salmon, and since the lake is a designated "quiet lake," you can also look forward to peaceful canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Hiking is also very popular at this site, but don't forget your bike if you want to experience the trails just a little bit differently! You can alos make a day trip to Santa Fe or Albuquerque, so plan to catch the balloon festival if you can. It's a real treat. 

Located near Eagle's Nest on the scenic Enchanted Circle Byway is Cimarron River, home of the Cimarron Canyon State Park. The area is famous for its majestic trees, and dense forestry. Visit the park to enjoy fresh, crisp air, exquisite views and interesting geological features. Other than site seeing, visitors can look forward to excellent hiking trails, biking, fly fishing, equestrian trails and picnicking.

Just northwest of Tucumcari is the Conchas Lake State Park. The Conchas Lake is one of New Mexico longest; explore 11 miles of the Conchas river or 14 miles of the South Canadian river. This is one of the area's most popular sites because of its secluded coves, sandy beaches and canyons, and abundance of outdoor activities available. You can boat, fish, hike, swim, camp and go bird watching which is a favorite among locals. There's also plenty of winter sports to enjoy once the snow falls!

Located at Sumner Lake, New Mexico, Mesquite Campground is a go-to campus for excellent outdoor recreation amidst gorgeous natural terrain. Look forward to catching crappie, walleye and bass, and if you enjoy water sports, there's plenty of space at the reservoir for boating, kayaking and swimming. The area is also well-forested, and perfect for biking, hiking and exploring, so be sure to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and curious wildlife. And with clear expansive skies above, this campground is known as a great spot for stargazing and enjoying iconic southwestern sunrises and sunsets.

Jemez Falls - USFS is located near the beautiful New Mexico city of Santa Fe, and is a great camping spot for the history-buff and the desert lover. Visitors can look forward to great museums, world-class art and a breathtaking natural terrain surrounding the campground.    Amenities and Activities RVers can take advantage of a ton of great activities near the campground. Visit Lake Sumner to enjoy the exquisite terrain iconic of the southwest. Bring your camera to capture tall, looming mountains in the background and acres of forested plains. The park is popular maong people who love watersports, but also offers excellent trails and pathways for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Enjoy swimming, boating and of course excellent fly fishing while you're there. The park is also close to Santa Fe, and is a great stopping point if you're headed that way. The park is also relatively close to the Bosque Redondo Memorial and Fort Sumner. 

Known for its excellent hiking opportunities, the La Laja Campground is on Heron Lake State Park. Also enjoy water sports such as canoeing, kayaking and boating as well as cross-country skiing during the winter months. With such a breathtaking landscape around the lake, campers can also look forward to landscape and wildlife viewing. 

Get ready for a rustic, peaceful getaway at the Sands Cove Primitive Campground, where campers can truly relax in a distraction-free space.
