This is a designated "quiet lake," so boat operators cannot get up to wake speeds, which make it a perfect environment for quiet water activities and a still lake surface. You can also go hiking and biking around the lake and enjoy some of the most pristine forestry to photograph. Since Albuquerque is so close by, visitors can look forward to local dining, shopping, exploration and the many activities and festivals that residents take advantage of daily. Alamosa Economy Campground is a park located near Alamosa, Colorado. It features 12 full hookup campsites that are big rig friendly. Many of them are pull through accessible. The park provides free WiFi, allows pets, and has a dump station.   Amenities & Activities Campsite amenities offered include picnic tables, fire circles, and grills. The Ponderosa Campground is located just 6 miles from the Bandelier National Monument and the town of Los Alamos. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Canyon, where you will find acres of rugged mesa country with petroglyphs, carving in the soft stone walls and the standing masonry walls that play tribute to the areas rich cultural past and present. Look out for wildlife such as black bears, mule deer, mountain lions and squirrels as well as birds like canyon towhees and Stellar's jays. One hiking trail extends from the campsite, however, there are other trails just outside the site and excellent rock climbing opportunities at the Bandelier Monument. Campers also venture into town to pick up supplies at the various stores, go ice skating or even visit one of the museums. 

Elevated at over 7,400 feet and located in the Manzanita Mountains is the Cedro Peak Group Campground. Get ready for excellent trails which serial visitors to the campground love to hike. Campers can also enjoy activities such as ATV-riding, mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, and horseback riding, and since the park is close to Albuquerque, there's tons of museums and historical sites within a short drive of the campus. Some popular attractions include: Sandia Peak Tramway, Albuquerque Biological Park, Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and Grand Canyon.

The La Loma RV Park is located in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, just beside Route 66. At an over 6,100 foot elevation and nestled between two high sandstone bluffs is the Villanueva National Park. There's tons of excellent outdoor activities to enjoy, so get ready for great fishing, birding, wildlife viewing, wildflower viewing or mountain biking. Visitors especially love to hike the various trails, so get ready to explore the gorgeous forestry that climbs up the bluffs and runs through the canyon. There's also equestrian trails as well as a number of picnic tables, so whether you want to go galloping through the wilderness or hang out with friends over great food, there's plenty of space and picnic tables to make that happen!
