Wilder Park offers 88 acres of camping, picnicking, walking, biking, or playtime! We are conveniently located 1/4 mile east of Allison, Iowa on Highway 3. Our amenities include two fishing ponds, a dog park, 18-hole frisbee disc golf, sand volleyball, two playgrounds, picnic shelters, pickle ball court, BMX pump track, large in-ground chess/checkers board, Wilder Mountain, intra-park hard surfaced walking/biking trail connected to Rolling Prairie Trail, 18-acre wildflower prairie, forest, severe storm shelters, two library kiosks, entertainment stage with free summer concerts and on-site camp hosts.   Occasional Friday night food trucks and Saturday morning coffee trucks. The campground is located along the Pecatonica River and Tri-County Recreational Trail.  Ride and enjoy the many sights along the famous Cheese Country ATV Trail and local Darlington ATV Club Trails. Visit Mathys Ace Hardware for your non-resident trail pass, if needed. Launch your canoe and paddle the Pecatonica River or fish & swim along the banks of the river. Take a stroll along the lighted walking path.  Just sit and relax and enjoy the wildlife along the water’s edge! Don’t forget to enjoy shopping and eating in Darlington, or travel a short distance to historic Shullsburg or Mineral Point.  The possibilities are endless! Indian Lake Park is a 177-acre, city owned park.  This delightful retreat is an ideal location not only for fishermen, but for picnickers and campers alike.  In addition to the 44-acre, no wake lake, the Park has many tree-shaded areas for the non-fisherman, as well.  A lovely two-mile nature interpretive trail encompasses the lake and is great for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing in the winter. The lake has a roped-off swimming area (swim at your own risk-no lifeguard) and kayaks and a canoe are available for rent. We offer full hook up RV sites, water and electric only sites, electric sites, primitive tent sites and cabins. Our cabins are far from fancy and have been standing since the 80's, but they are a clean and comfortable stay. Consider it glamping, where you get all the fun of camping but all the comforts of a bed, indoor bathroom, air conditioning/heat, and a kitchen to cook in. Our park managers/caretakers strive to ensure that you enjoy your stay at the park and create life long memories with your families.
