Looking to get away? Come stay with us! Nestled in the small town of Goshen, Virginia, you’ll find us at the Historic Cold Sulphur Springs Campground. We offer RV and tent camping both on a daily and seasonal basis. We have camping available year-round! Our campground has access to a beautiful, pristine pond and acres of woods making it a prime spot for fishing and hunting. *For generations, our campground has been home to hunters, and we embrace the opportunity to honor that tradition. During hunting season (October-December), target practice and shooting will be held on Sundays from 3-6 PM at the dam. Please avoid the lake and lake area during shooting time.  The road is safe to use to access the campground. Practice is limited to monthly and seasonal campers.* The Historic Cold Sulphur Springs Campground dates back to at least the mid-late 1800s, when it was a large, flourishing resort frequented by travelers from near and far. In its heyday, the resort bustled with more than 250 guests who often spent entire summers there playing croquet and enjoying orchestra concerts at the hotel dance hall. They would arrive at the Goshen train station and be brought to the resort by horse and buggy, greeted with ice cold lemonade. Those who visited Cold Sulphur Springs, doctors especially, attributed miraculous medicinal benefits to the water, recommending it as a cure for a variety of ailments and encouraging patients to visit. The Goshen Land and Improvement company even used these testimonials as a marketing tool to attract visitors, claiming “The Cold Sulphur Springs is pronounced by leading physicians and chemists as the finest water in the state. We have in our possession testimonies from leading physicians north and south to that effect.” However, the 1900s brought the onset of World War I and the advent of the automobile, allowing Americans to travel freely to a variety of locations without the need to summer for months at one resort. These factors caused the hotel at Cold Sulphur Springs to lose patrons and eventually meet its demise through fire and other means of destruction.  Today, the grounds provide a simpler kind of hospitality. Cold Sulphur Springs is a place for travelers from all walks of life to camp, fish, swim, boat, hike, and more. While little remains of the old hotel, the historic Spring House is still in tact at the campground, as are some remnants of original building foundations.  We invite you to explore the wonder that is the Historic Cold Sulphur Springs Campground and see the beauty that lies within.    

Abrams Creek is more like a nature preserve than a commercial campground. On our campground, there are no generators, loud electronics, or other things that would distract from appreciating the sights and sounds of this pristine natural environment. Campsites and cabins are well spaced out, so that there is never a feeling of crowding. The campground has 20 acres of hemlock forest bordered by a wild whitewater stream. Some areas are boulders, pools, and turbulent water—great to watch or play in. One large area towards the end of the campground is a calm wading area good for children (with careful supervision of course), and just past that is a deeper section, 5’-7’ deep, that is good for swimming.  

Nestled in the heart of West Virginia mountains in the southern most county with direct access to trails leading to the Hatfield McCoy Trail system and Outlaw trails. Adventure out on the trails or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of West Virginia!

Relax and enjoy the bucolic surroundings at this quaint campground nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Unwind at a fire pit while listening to  to the soothing lull of the South River! Whether you are seeking an outdoor adventure or wanting to explore the nearest city, both the Appalachian Trail and the historic City of Lexington are a short drive away.  Remote workers welcome! We are West Virginia´s newest and most modern RV Park. Rock House RV Park is where the fun begins. Conveniently located next door to the Hatfield-McCoy Trails Rock House trailhead, we are affordable, open year round, and we cater to the ATV crowd. The Park is 1 mile from the Rock House Trail Head. We currently have 12 RV sites available with potable water pressure, regulated hook up, PSD sewage hookup, and 50/30/20 AMP electrical hook ups. We are also surrounded by other outdoor related activities that are fun for the whole family. The Park provides all the conveniences of modern outdoor camping and RVing.
