Abrams Creek is more like a nature preserve than a commercial campground. On our campground, there are no generators, loud electronics, or other things that would distract from appreciating the sights and sounds of this pristine natural environment. Campsites and cabins are well spaced out, so that there is never a feeling of crowding. The campground has 20 acres of hemlock forest bordered by a wild whitewater stream. Some areas are boulders, pools, and turbulent water—great to watch or play in. One large area towards the end of the campground is a calm wading area good for children (with careful supervision of course), and just past that is a deeper section, 5’-7’ deep, that is good for swimming.  

Nestled in the heart of West Virginia mountains in the southern most county with direct access to trails leading to the Hatfield McCoy Trail system and Outlaw trails. Adventure out on the trails or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of West Virginia!

Our quiet, wooded campground is located only two miles south of the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, West Virginia. We are centrally located between 5 white water rafting companies within a 15 minute drive, rock climbing galore, hiking and mountain biking trails. We offer 26 RV sites and 14 tent camping sites, some with water and electric, along with 8 rustic cabin rentals in a family friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of space for the kids to ride their bikes or play on the playground. Dogs are more than welcomed on a leash to explore and take advantage of our 44 acre campground.
