The Heartland RV Park is located in the picturesque Texas town of Huntsville and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of attractions just beyond the campground including the Sam Houston National Forest, Texas Prison Museum, Sam Houston Memorial Museum, and the Walker County Historical Commission. There are also a number of other historical sites such as the Hearts Veterans Museum of Texas, Gibbs-Powell Home Museum, and a list of great restaurants, golf courses, lakes, and bars to enjoy.  64 Pull thru and 9 back-in sites, most sites have some shade. The Texas State Railroad Campground is located 3 miles west of the beautiful East Texas town of Rusk and is a great spot for a fun southern escape! We offer campsites with water only, water and electricity or full hookups with 30/50-amp service and sewer. The Grounds offer picnic tables, fire rings, and WiFi! There are separate showers and restrooms onsite, a nature trail and a campground office complete with a gift shop and firewood for purchase. The 15-acre Cherokee Lake is where fishermen will find a variety of fish including crappie, catfish, striped bass, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, bluegill and largemouth bass. Conveniently located between Riverside, TX. and Trinity, TX. on State Hwy 19. The campground offers 37 full hook-up RV sites with both 30 and 50-amp electric service at every site. There are 2 brand new waterfront rental cabins with all the modern amenities and comforts of home. There are also 10 primitive tent camping sites, half of which are conveniently located on a peninsula between the river and our 2-acre private pond with the remaining positioned along the river adjacent to an adjacent oxbow.
