The Cooks Ferry Campground is located in the beautiful town of Fairfield, Texas and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Onsite, travelers can expect a breathtaking natural scenery with plenty of space on the water for fishing, canoeing and kayaking, as well as space on land for hiking, biking, OHC riding and horseback riding. For nature enthusiasts, there's a ton of great activities just beyond the campground. Some camper favorites include: the Fairfield Lake State Park, The BigWoods On the Trinity, Fort Parker State Park and the Purtis Creek State Park. There's also the Texas ZipLine Adventures, Texas State Railroad Palestine Depot, Scarborough Renaissance Festival, and a host of excellent local eateries, bars, galleries and museums. The Spillway Ramp Campground is located in the beautiful Texas town of Denison and is a great spot for a fun southern getaway. Nearby Eisenhower Park is known for its breathtaking natural terrain, hiking and ATV trails and modern marina. Campers can look forward to a number of offsite attractions such as the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site, Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Fairfield Lake State Park and the Waterloo Lake Regional Park. Among these sites, travelers can enjoy great sight seeing and outdoor fun like wildlife viewing, hiking, fishing, boating, paddle boarding and kayaking.
