We are conveniently located away from traffic noise off State Highway 77 in Milam County—near the junction with State Highway 79 and just a few miles north of the small town of Rockdale, TX. We are “in the heart of the Texas Triangle” between San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas with easy access to Interstate 10, Interstate 35, and Interstate 45. This means a central location less than one hour’s drive from our closer metro neighbors Waco, Austin, and College Station, TX. Our park spans five and half acres, including a placid duck pond with three ducks and bass that visitors can catch and release! Deer often cross the Park in the morning and at night. Two cranes, one white, and one gray, visit the pond regularly. Make Cosmic Duck RV Park your new home. The Jackson Hill park & Marina and is a great spot for a fun and adventurous outdoor vacation right by the water. Travelers can look forward to plenty of wide, open spaces, great opportunities for sunset viewing and stargazing. Get ready for excellent fishing for bass, crappie and catfish and bird watching and wildlife viewing; bald eagles, alligators, deer and river otters are common at the marina. Brazos River Retreat, located just 25 miles from downtown Houston and 20 miles from the Medical Center, is a hidden little honey hole. Most campers are convinced they are lost on the way here because you come through a beautiful neighborhood of mansions and multimillion dollar homes. The park is in a secluded area where the park owners chose to keep the peace and tranquility of the natural area. This is not your typical park location. It is built in the middle of some of the most expensive properties in the suburb of Houston called Sugar Land. Once you are on the wooded property, you would believe you are miles away from civilization. However, our park’s neighborhood has two Starbucks, a “Signature Kroger” grocery store, multiple local restaurants, major bank branches, spas, Target, Walmart, etc. Our park features back in, pull thru, full 20/30/50 amp water and sewer sites. Some amenities include trash services, bbq/grill, picnic tables and beautiful waterfront views to list a few. Near the campground is a number of excellent attractions to engage every type of camper. For the history buff, the area is a historical hub with several museums including the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Spindletop Gladys City Boomtown Museum, Eddison Museum and the Dishman Art Museum. We offer campsites with water only, water and electricity or full hookups with 30/50-amp service and sewer. The Grounds offer picnic tables, fire rings, and WiFi! There are separate showers and restrooms onsite, a nature trail and a campground office complete with a gift shop and firewood for purchase. The 15-acre Cherokee Lake is where fishermen will find a variety of fish including crappie, catfish, striped bass, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, bluegill and largemouth bass. Whether they are casting, spinning or flying fish, chances of getting a bite are good! Onsite, travelers may look forward to historic sightseeing.
