This RV Park is located on a secluded part of the San Marcos River just outside of Martindale, Texas. It has unique views and great access to the river. It has a spectacular view from the high bluff overlooking the river bend and the "rapids", as well as a couple of great gravel shoal access points that will lead you to great fishing and or lounging on the river. Brazos River Retreat, located just 25 miles from downtown Houston and 20 miles from the Medical Center, is a hidden little honey hole. Most campers are convinced they are lost on the way here because you come through a beautiful neighborhood of mansions and multimillion dollar homes. The park is in a secluded area where the park owners chose to keep the peace and tranquility of the natural area. This is not your typical park location. It is built in the middle of some of the most expensive properties in the suburb of Houston called Sugar Land. Once you are on the wooded property, you would believe you are miles away from civilization. However, our park’s neighborhood has two Starbucks, a “Signature Kroger” grocery store, multiple local restaurants, major bank branches, spas, Target, Walmart, etc. Our park features back in, pull thru, full 20/30/50 amp water and sewer sites. Some amenities include trash services, bbq/grill, picnic tables and beautiful waterfront views to list a few. Outdoor activities include backpacking, fishing, hiking, kayaking and canoeing to list a few.  Again, this is not like the other RV parks in the area built with lots of concrete, no trees next to a highway.  We enjoy the secluded outdoors and the amenities of the higher end neighborhood. The Woodland Lakes RV Park is located in the beautiful town of Conroe and is a great spot for an authentic southern adventure. Historic downtown Conroe is a great place for exploring and soaking in local art, the Sam Houston National Forest is great for scenic viewing and the Southern Star Brewing Company are camper favorites. Campers can also look forward to a number of nearby attractions such as the W G Jones State Forest which is popular for its hiking trails and 2 small lakes for fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. Every site offers full hookups with 30 and 50 amp, free cable and WiFi and patio with sitting. The park also offers comfortable amenities such as public bathrooms and showers, a club house, onsite propane, a leash free dog park and two laundry facilities.  The 7 Acre Wood petting zoo and mini-golf area is also excellent for group fun, and Lake Conroe Park and Recreation Area are both perfect for nature walking, fishing and swimming. The park is also a short drive from Houston, and is in an ideal spot for a day trip to this bustling Texas metropolis.
