The Blanco State Park Campground is located in the beautiful town of Blanco, and is a great spot for an authentic Texas vacation. This small park hugs a one-mile stretch of the river. On the water, campers can swim, fish, paddle or boat, and on land, there's plenty of space to picnic, hike, camp, watch for wildlife, and geocache. For the group-travelers, there's a picnic pavilion for socials, group games and meals. Campers can also look forward to a number of nearby attractions such as the Old Blanco County Court, Market Days held on the 3rd Saturday of each month and the Willow City Loop which is a breathtaking spot that's perfect for scenic drives, jogging, dog walking, picnicking and stargazing or sunset viewing. There's also golf courses, the Exotic Resort Zoo, Real Ale Brewing Company, Texas Hill Vineyard and the CN Stars Horse Training and Trail Rides. Several parks and lakes are close to the campground, so travelers can look forward to hiking, biking, boating, canoeing, kayaking or fishing among the Blanco and Perdenales State Parks, Comal River and Guadelupe River. For the adventure-seeker, the Blanco Lavender Festival is an excellent event to visit for, and there's also plenty to do and see in the neighboring cities of Austin, San Antonio and New Braunfels. Parrie Haynes Ranch Equestrian Center is settled along the Lampasas River on about 1600 acres of Hill Country terrain. West Fort Hood borders our northern side. The acreage is teeming with natural wildlife and native plants with trails that wind through rolling native prairies, pastures, cedar/oak trees, and crystal clear streams. The Priddy Cabin was built here in 1859. Other homes were scattered across the ranch and have only foundations remaining. Please be careful and respect our heritage. Visit the Parrie Haynes Ranch Museum in the Clubhouse (not big but a labor of love for our history). Families welcome! A full service campground located in Central Texas. The main camp is about 24 acres out of 1600.  Currently, there are 40 complete sites with 30 & 50 amp electricity, water, and pens at individual sites! We have 86 pens and a few corrals. There is a half size arena, round pen, and a fun obstacle course for you and your equine to enjoy. The footing is a combination of sand, caleche, and rock.  My mule is not shod but if your animal is not used to this terrain, I would advise shoes or boots. Keeping Texas Trails open for Equestrians, Hikers, Trail-Runners, and Mountain Bikers.

This RV Park is located on a secluded part of the San Marcos River just outside of Martindale, Texas. It has unique views and great access to the river. It has a spectacular view from the high bluff overlooking the river bend and the "rapids", as well as a couple of great gravel shoal access points that will lead you to great fishing and or lounging on the river. Pecan Grove RV Park as the name suggests is surrounded by gorgeous pecan trees, and is a well-loved spot among campers for being centrally located in Austin, Texas. Mobile transportation isn't necessary when visiting Pecan Grove RV Park, since the Zach Theater, Zilker Park, Town Lake, The Alamo Drafthouse and dozens of other attractions are within walking and biking distance. Management is responsive and pleasant, and even though the park is near so many downtown Austin attractions, the campsite is known for being quiet and peaceful. Many visitors camp here for months at a time, so be sure to make reservations early. Located at 1518 Barton Springs Road in the Pecan Grove RV Park, amenities include: cable TV, WIFI, shower, bathroom and laundry facilities, 50 and 30 amp sites; pets are allowed.
