Parrie Haynes Ranch Equestrian Center is settled along the Lampasas River on about 1600 acres of Hill Country terrain. West Fort Hood borders our northern side. The acreage is teeming with natural wildlife and native plants with trails that wind through rolling native prairies, pastures, cedar/oak trees, and crystal clear streams. The Priddy Cabin was built here in 1859. Other homes were scattered across the ranch and have only foundations remaining. Please be careful and respect our heritage. Visit the Parrie Haynes Ranch Museum in the Clubhouse (not big but a labor of love for our history). Families welcome! A full service campground located in Central Texas. The main camp is about 24 acres out of 1600.  Currently, there are 40 complete sites with 30 & 50 amp electricity, water, and pens at individual sites! We have 86 pens and a few corrals. There is a half size arena, round pen, and a fun obstacle course for you and your equine to enjoy. The footing is a combination of sand, caleche, and rock.  My mule is not shod but if your animal is not used to this terrain, I would advise shoes or boots. Keeping Texas Trails open for Equestrians, Hikers, Trail-Runners, and Mountain Bikers.

At the family-owned and operated Cosmic Duck RV Park, we're proud to offer a quiet, clean, and secluded spot for long term stays, travelers, and modern day nomads to relax and call home. We are conveniently located away from traffic noise off State Highway 77 in Milam County—near the junction with State Highway 79 and just a few miles north of the small town of Rockdale, TX. We are “in the heart of the Texas Triangle” between San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas with easy access to Interstate 10, Interstate 35, and Interstate 45. This means a central location less than one hour’s drive from our closer metro neighbors Waco, Austin, and College Station, TX. Our park spans five and half acres, including a placid duck pond with three ducks and bass that visitors can catch and release! Deer often cross the Park in the morning and at night. Two cranes, one white, and one gray, visit the pond regularly. Make Cosmic Duck RV Park your new home. The Oasis RV Park provides small town living within close proximity to larger cities. We were established in 2014 and have become an important part of this community. Under new ownership and management in 2024, the park has already seen a lot of positive changes and improvements. Some of these improvements include a new privacy fence, entry sign, landscape enhancements, security system and lighting, and a new office houses onsite laundry.
