The Mission Tejas Campground is located in the beautiful town of Grapeland, Texas and is the perfect place for an authentic southern vacation. Onsite activities include camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing. A pond located near the picnic area offers an excellent opportunity to explore aquatic life and fish. Hiking and nature trails provide access to the natural beauty of the East Texas Pineywoods. The dogwoods are beautiful the last week or so of March, usually around the 25th. Just beyond the campground, travelers can look forward to a number of local attractions, such as the Mission Tejas State Park, Grapeland Safari and Salmon Lake for excellent fishing, boating, paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking. Many also visit for the annual Blue Grass Music Festival, Peanut Festival and a long list of excellent restaurants and small eateries. Our spacious and clean bath house is handicap accessible and houses a coin operated laundry mat. Our park is surrounded with the beautiful history that Natchitoches, the oldest settlement in Louisiana, has to offer. Come tour one of the gorgeous plantations in the area, fish and play on our beautiful Cane River Lake, shop at the boutiques on historic Front Street or enjoy delicious food at one of our many restaurants.
