We are minutes away from Surfside beach, Quintana Beach and shopping malls. City of Houston is only a 50 minute drive. Kountry Ranch RV Park is within five minutes of beach-combing, fresh and salt water fishing, wildlife and bird sanctuaries that are available to all Freeport visitors. For all the visitors who like offshore fishing, Freeport has several boat charters that operate in the area. Freeport also offers access to Old Brazos River, where jet skiing and water skiing are allowed. Kountry Ranch RV park is with in minutes of Freeport Municipal Golf Course. Campers may look forward to onsite activities near the park's two fishing ponds such as hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, scenic viewing, canoeing and kayaking. Just beyond Goodrich are a number of excellent places to visit, such as Lake Livingston, Lake TomBigBee, Blue Lagoon, Hydro Rockets fly boarding and Riva Row Boat House. Back in August 2025, we were busy clearing the land to create our family-friendly RV retreat.  In December, we will be pouring slabs for our office and museum as well as developing the infrastructure to include roads and RV sites.  We anticipate having sites available to rent by March 2026. We will have sites with modern RV hookups, a little store with bare essentials, and an eclectic museum that stitches together stories and artifacts from Texas and beyond. Amenities will feature a small conference room for business/video needs, a family-friendly gameroom, a laundry facility, and a private rest room with a shower. Initial services will include a self-serve, diverse library suited for all ages, propane distribution/exchange, and a Texas notary public. We will offer discounts for active duty and veteran military personnel, senior citizens, first responders, and educators. The Country Place RV Park is located in the beautiful town of Conroe and is a great spot for an authentic southern adventure. Onsite, campers can look forward to a pristine natural terrain, excellent for photography, scenic and sunset viewing and hiking. Historic downtown Conroe is a great place for exploring and soaking in local art, the Sam Houston National Forest is great for scenic viewing and the Southern Star Brewing Company are camper favorites. Campers can also look forward to a number of nearby attractions such as the W G Jones State Forest which is popular for its hiking trails and 2 small lakes for fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. The 7 Acre Wood petting zoo and mini-golf area is also excellent for group fun, and Lake Conroe Park and Recreation Area are both perfect for nature walking, fishing and swimming. The park is also a short drive from Houston, and is in an ideal spot for a day trip to this bustling Texas metropolis. The Lighthouse RV Park is located in the beautiful town of Bay City and is a great place for a fun yet easy-going Texas vacation. Campers can look forward to nearby attractions like the Matagorda County Museum, Le Tulle Park and the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail for excellent bird watching, hiking, and scenic viewing. The Matagorda bay Nature Trail is another excellent spot for nature enthusiasts.   Campers can also head to Sargent Shores for a fun day by the water, with plenty of sand and water for boating, fishing, and swimming. If Sargent Shores is crowded, there's always the Colorado River, perfect for fishing, kayaking and river rafting. And of course, the area has excellent shops and restaurants for visitors to same local crafts and cuisine, and even a market day on the third Saturday of each month.
