The Blanco State Park Campground is located in the beautiful town of Blanco, and is a great spot for an authentic Texas vacation. This small park hugs a one-mile stretch of the river. On the water, campers can swim, fish, paddle or boat, and on land, there's plenty of space to picnic, hike, camp, watch for wildlife, and geocache. For the group-travelers, there's a picnic pavilion for socials, group games and meals. Campers can also look forward to a number of nearby attractions such as the Old Blanco County Court, Market Days held on the 3rd Saturday of each month and the Willow City Loop which is a breathtaking spot that's perfect for scenic drives, jogging, dog walking, picnicking and stargazing or sunset viewing. There's also golf courses, the Exotic Resort Zoo, Real Ale Brewing Company, Texas Hill Vineyard and the CN Stars Horse Training and Trail Rides. Several parks and lakes are close to the campground, so travelers can look forward to hiking, biking, boating, canoeing, kayaking or fishing among the Blanco and Perdenales State Parks, Comal River and Guadelupe River. For the adventure-seeker, the Blanco Lavender Festival is an excellent event to visit for, and there's also plenty to do and see in the neighboring cities of Austin, San Antonio and New Braunfels. This means a central location less than one hour’s drive from our closer metro neighbors Waco, Austin, and College Station, TX.Our park spans five and half acres, including a placid duck pond with three ducks and bass that visitors can catch and release!
