Parrie Haynes Ranch Equestrian Center is settled along the Lampasas River on about 1600 acres of Hill Country terrain. West Fort Hood borders our northern side. The acreage is teeming with natural wildlife and native plants with trails that wind through rolling native prairies, pastures, cedar/oak trees, and crystal clear streams. The Priddy Cabin was built here in 1859. Other homes were scattered across the ranch and have only foundations remaining. Please be careful and respect our heritage. Visit the Parrie Haynes Ranch Museum in the Clubhouse (not big but a labor of love for our history). Families welcome! A full service campground located in Central Texas. The main camp is about 24 acres out of 1600.  Currently, there are 40 complete sites with 30 & 50 amp electricity, water, and pens at individual sites! We have 86 pens and a few corrals. There is a half size arena, round pen, and a fun obstacle course for you and your equine to enjoy. The footing is a combination of sand, caleche, and rock.  My mule is not shod but if your animal is not used to this terrain, I would advise shoes or boots. Keeping Texas Trails open for Equestrians, Hikers, Trail-Runners, and Mountain Bikers.

The Heartland RV Park is located in the picturesque Texas town of Huntsville and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of attractions just beyond the campground including the Sam Houston National Forest, Texas Prison Museum, Sam Houston Memorial Museum, and the Walker County Historical Commission. There are also a number of other historical sites such as the Hearts Veterans Museum of Texas, Gibbs-Powell Home Museum, and a list of great restaurants, golf courses, lakes, and bars to enjoy.  64 Pull thru and 9 back-in sites, most sites have some shade. Krause Springs is a well known swimming hole and camping area located in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. The 115 acre property is listed on the National Registry of Historical Sites and has been privately owned by the Krause Family for over 50 years. The property has many natural sites to explore -- 32 springs feed a manmade pool as well as a natural pool featuring a waterfall and underwater caves. Guests are welcome to explore many walking trails, shady picnic areas, fishing spots and take a stroll through the Butterfly Gardens. The Texas State Railroad Campground is located 3 miles west of the beautiful East Texas town of Rusk and is a great spot for a fun southern escape! We offer campsites with water only, water and electricity or full hookups with 30/50-amp service and sewer. The Grounds offer picnic tables, fire rings, and WiFi! There are separate showers and restrooms onsite, a nature trail and a campground office complete with a gift shop and firewood for purchase. The 15-acre Cherokee Lake is where fishermen will find a variety of fish including crappie, catfish, striped bass, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, bluegill and largemouth bass. Whether they are casting, spinning or flying fish, chances of getting a bite are good! Onsite, travelers may look forward to historic sightseeing. Pecan Grove RV Park as the name suggests is surrounded by gorgeous pecan trees, and is a well-loved spot among campers for being centrally located in Austin, Texas. Mobile transportation isn't necessary when visiting Pecan Grove RV Park, since the Zach Theater, Zilker Park, Town Lake, The Alamo Drafthouse and dozens of other attractions are within walking and biking distance. Management is responsive and pleasant, and even though the park is near so many downtown Austin attractions, the campsite is known for being quiet and peaceful.
