The Castroville Regional Park is located in the beautiful town of Castroville and is a great place for an authentic southern vacation. Onsite, travelers may expect tons of group fun at the tennis court, playground, basketball court, sand volleyball court and plenty of fishing, canoeing, kayaking and boating on the nearby Medina River. Campers may look forward to a number of local attractions such as golf at the Alsatian Golf Club, Castroville Historic Walking Tour, Castroville Regional Park and the St. Louis Catholic Church. Other visitor favorites include the Vine on the Rocks Winery, Shooting Star Museum and Paradise Canyon which is perfect for hiking, biking, climbing, swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking with plenty of great local eateries and historic sites to enjoy. Welcome Home!   A short 7 miles from downtown Fredericksburg, these primitive RV and primitive campsites are close to Luckenbach, the Old Bat Tunnel and Alamo Springs Burger. In fact the campsite is directly across the street and a short walking distance to the historic Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon. Guests can enjoy this Texas Original with concerts, festivals most weekends or even just by stopping by for live music (played daily) and a cold drink. The Saloon is open 7 days a week!   One you arrive, you will have found yourself in the middle of a quaint Historic Ghost Town called Bankersmith, TX with a population of zero! The main building dates back to the 1870’s and was once a US Post Office and a General Store. Check the open hours of Bankersmith TX online. When you arrive, and you must arrive well before 9 PM, you will check in with the Main Bartender at the Bankermith Saloon at 7905 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg Texas.   Campsites are in a large cow pasture across the street from Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon. Please don't come expecting Yosemite or the Ritz Carlton. This is as primitive as it gets. Conveniently located in Fredericksburg, Texas off the famous and beautiful Old Highway 9. Please make yourself at home for your stay! No charge for petting the goats or talking to the ghosts! But do not open gates, or hop fences. This Bankersmith Texas Campground is primitive on site but guests are welcome to use both the restrooms and water sources across the street, in the Saloon, when open. The camping grounds are on an open field close to the entrance of the parking. Campers are not to go through the second gate due to livestock.   Campers are of course allowed to bring in food or drink on the campgrounds but it may be easier to enjoy the food from Bankersmith’s Restaurant and Full Bar literally across the street! Bankersmith will truly appreciate your business as well! Live music 7 days a week as well. Hamburgers, Chicken Wings, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches and a whole lot more (even Fried Bull Testicles)!   At the Bankersmith Saloon, you will hear, smell and interact with all sorts of animals! Get ready for an Alarm clock that goes off at random times. We have farm fresh eggs almost everyday from our free range chickens, so feel free to ask if there are any available! You are one of the herd now. All Fredericksburg farm products {goat soap lotion and candles} are available for purchase in the bar/general store, and make sure to buy your Bankersmith souvenir before saddling up and hitting the road, we have tee shirts, candles, koozies, lotions and hats available.   The main Bankersmith Bar is open Mondays-Wednesdays from 4pm-10pm and Thursdays-Sundays from noon-10pm. Be careful, some of the locals (cats, roosters, donkeys and an old man named Ed) bite. Stop on by the bar to enjoy some drinks and help yourself to our delicious food menu! People drive from 6 states away for our Pulled Pork! On the hauntings, the bar was also a makeshift Hospice for years and the location of multiple souls heading to heaven. A former owner shot himself on the front porch. You can see the shotgun spray marks in the rafters to this very day. The bar itself is home to a ghost known as CW. CW, when he died, was buried in the old out house that used to be outside the bar. The outhouse was knocked down unceremoniously and removed by a former owner. CW has been slamming doors and walking around at night in the bar ever since.        

  Great grandson of Frank E. Gillen and grandson of Tillie and Frank R. Gille, Steve W. Gillen has continued the generational family business with a twist. We offer primitive RV sites for our RVers! Gillen's Candies, which was once chocolates, has expanded its products to also include wines, jerky, craft beer and other artisan products! Come on over, spend a couple nights, or weeks, and enjoy some beer and jerky!  

The Johnson Creek RV Resort and Park is located in the beautiful and historic town of Kerrville, Texas and is a great place to enjoy a fun southern adventure. Near the site, travelers can enjoy catch and release fishing in the creek, scenic viewing, wildlife viewing, hunting, golfing, biking and nature walking. Just beyond the campground, visitors can look forward to excellent local attractions such as The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden, Museum of Western Art, Riverside Nature Center and breathtaking views and water activities at Flatrock Park. There's also Brinkman Art Foundation, Stonehenge 2 and the Louise Hays Park. There's also several other activities just beyond the river including: horseback riding, bat flights, seasonal live music, hay rides, volleyball, dances and helicopter rides. Of course, with with such a breathtaking natural scenery to explore, travelers can also enjoy sunset and scenic viewing, hiking, stargazing and bird watching. There's also excellent eateries and shops within a short drive from the campground, so campers can look forward to that! It has 47 full hookup campsites that can house pull-through RVs up to and impressive 87 feet long. The park is big-rig accessible, pet friendly, and offers free WiFi. Plus, the park is midway between between Fredricksburg and Johnson City, so get ready for great attractions like the LBJ National Park, wildflowers, wineries, Pedernales River and the gorgeous, historic downtown Fredricksburg area. River Walk RV Park, located in the heart of San Antonio, Texas, features full hookup campsites.
