For the nature-enthusiast, there's plenty to fall in love with surrounding the campground, such as the Beaumont Botanical Gardens, Doornbos Heritage Park and Village Creek State Park. The Beaumont Riverfront Park and Smith Lake Water Park are camper favorites, and among the many outdoor attractions, travelers can go swimming, fishing, biking, hiking, scenic viewing, sunset viewing and boating. And of course, this beautiful city is home to excellent southern restaurants and an understated nightlife ready for the urban adventurer to explore. The Galveston Bay RV Resort is located in the beautiful town of Baytown and is a great spot of an authentic Texas vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of nearby water-related activities at places like the gorgeous pond at the Bay Town Nature Center, Pirates Bay Waterpark, and there's also quiet a few public parks like the Roseland, Allenbrooks and Jenkins Parks. The Baytown Historical Museum is a camper favorite, as is Goose Creek Park. There's also the Evergreen Public Golf Course, Baytown Public Marina, Coushatta Casino and the Gulf Greyhound Dog Track. There's also a long list of excellent restaurants and picnic areas, and many out-of-town travelers are sure to pause at dusk with a small snack to enjoy the sunset and stargazing.  The San Jacinto Monument (tallest in the USA) & Battleship Texas, were about a half hour away. Other attractions visited within an hour of the campground include: The Beer House, The Orange Show, Smither Park Folk Art, Mount Rush Hour, Lighthouse Water Tower, 2/5th White House, and the National Museum of Funeral History.
