The City of Rocks State Park gets its name from the incredible volcanic rock formations found here. The park is a mile from the scenic Chihuahuan Desert Region of southwest New Mexico, and stands at an elevation of 5,200 feet. The geological formation is made up of large, sculpted rock columns and pinnacles rising as high as 40 feet, and separated by paths or lanes resembling streets. After years of natural erosion, the formations have an almost other-worldly appearance, filling the landscape like towers against the beautiful New Mexico sky. 

You'll just about melt in the serenity of the Lordsburg KOA located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Located halfway between El Paso and Tucson, this park is perfect as a base camp for visiting nearby ghost towns, the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, White Sands national Monument and Rockhound State Park. It's also secluded, surrounded by the scenic views of the Pyramid Mountains and big sky sunsets, so be prepared for plenty of space and fresh air.   

The Grapevine Campground is located at the Gila National Forest and is a great place for exploring the beauty and serenity of the mountainous regions of Silver City. The east and west Gila River's join to offer campers excellent opportunities to fish and relax by the waterside, and there's also plenty of trails and easy-to-maneuver areas for hiking.
