Surround yourself with the mixed evergreen/aspen forest of the Aspen Group Campground, located in the Lincoln National Forest, New Mexico. Able to accommodate groups of up to 70 people, this is a popular spot for visitors wanting to experience this lush New Mexico park, as well as the charming village of Cloudcroft. Look forward to some great picnicking and hiking opportunities along the trails at Alamo Peak and Stark Peak. The most popular hike is the Osha Trail, which is a 2.5-mile loop. You can also expect excellent shopping and dining options down in the village. The Oliver Lee Memorial State Park, at the foot of the mountains, is worth a visit to see a restored 19th century ranch house and explore the flowering oasis of Dog Canyon.

Less than a mile from Cloudcroft is the Lower Fir Group Campground in the Lincoln National Forest reserve. As you'd expect, there's plenty to do in this area: take your family on hiking and biking expeditions through the dense, gorgeous forestry of the campground, and go on plenty of picnics while you're there. You can also walk to Cloudcroft for some shopping, entertainment and interaction with the friendly locals.

Enjoy the widely dispersed camp sites of the Silver Overflow Campground in the Lincoln National Forest. Popular for its showers and musician presentations at the silver Amphitheater, the campground is idyllic and bustling with activity and fun, especially during the summer months. Learn about the outdoors through the amphitheater's visitor programs, and go roaming around the various trails and paths. With gorgeous scenes and curious wildlife, you and your group will stay engaged and entertained throughout your trip.

Located in the Lincoln National Forest is the Slide Group Campground which can accommodate up to 90 people. Surrounded by mixed evergreen and aspen, this site is known for immersing visitors in a primitive wildlife environment where they can pause and appreciate nature. Access to the National Recreation Rim Trail can be found at the site, and there are plenty of amenities to ensure that groups can enjoy social events and plan group activities with ease. Lower Karr Canyon Campground is an undeveloped campground scattered across the Karr Canyon Picnic Area. Explore the Lincoln National Park with its densely forested areas, beautiful hiking trails and clear skies. Standing over 7,500 feet above the desert floor, campers can enjoy warm weather that's not too harsh, and plenty of fresh air. Also take advantage of the horseback riding, biking and wildlife watching at this site for a true taste of untouched New Mexico terrain.

Take advantage of the spacious and well laid-out Desert Paradise Mobile Home & RV Village near the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. There are plenty of hiking trails near Orogrande or near High Rolls, and others at Cloudcroft. It's near several great attractions such as Cloudcroft, the Apache Reservation Casino and the White Sands Missile Range. Alamogordo is filled with history and beauty, and is popular for its outdoor sporting activities like biking and disc-surfing down the sand dunes of the White Sand Monument.

Located in the Lincoln National Forest New Mexico is the Black Bear Group Campground, a popular site for annual groups of up to 70 people. With plenty of open, grassy spots for sports, and lots of wildlife in the surrounding forest, this campground is a popular one for group activities like star-gazing on the park's many clear nights. Located near Alamogordo and Cloudcroft, it's also well-known for groups wanting to explore those two urban centers and the great culture and dining to be experienced there. It's also a quarter mile from the Rim Trail, which is popular for mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding. Other nearby trails are open to ATV enthusiasts.

The Three Rivers Petroglyph Site is the biggest collection of petroglyphs in the nation, and is a great place to immerse yourself in the history and rich culture of the southwest. Hikers prepare for some challenging and scenic trails, and great views of the Sierra and Tularosa Basin. The nearby trading post is also world-class, offering campers a pick of the best local arts and craft, each unique piece holding some historic or cultural significance. Fall in love with the southwest at this park, where there's so much of nature to explore. Hike the gorgeous desert vistas, or mountain bike the hills around the campground. There's also so much stargazing to be done, so settle in at dusk to enjoy the reds and oranges of an iconic New Mexico sunset and strap in for the nighttime light show.  

The Holloman AFB FamCamp is used for military professionals and is located within the New Mexico Air Base. The park is safe and well-known for its easy access to sights like the White Sands National Monument, Space History Museum, CLoudcroft, Pistacio Farms, Ruidoso, White Sands Missile Range and the Organ Mountains. If you like history, you'll have a blast at this campground. 

Located in the Lincoln National Forest, New Mexico are the Bluff Springs Dispersed Campsites. It is a partially developed picnic area with dispersed campsites with spectacular mountain views, and beautiful forestry all around. Take one of the trails around clumps of wildflowers, and be sure to catch at least one sunset or sunrise; have a camera handy! There's also a few small waterfalls within the park so keep your eyes open for that! Most visitors to this site go off to the Cloudcroft village to take advantage of the local sights and do some gift or food shopping. Maybe you'll be in time for one of the three annual festivals that take place in Zenith Park in the village.

Facing the Sacramento mountains to the east, the Elks Lodge 1897 is for members and visiting Elks only, and is a quiet place to get away for a few days. With full hookups, 30/50 amp sites, laundry facilities, showers, restrooms, WIFI and a restaurant on-site, this is a Alamogordo favorite. Visitors can enjoy golfing at a nearby golf course, the space hall of fame, the oldest zoo located in Alamogordo, the White Sand National Monument nearby, skiing, gambling, fishing and zip-lining. Elks Lodge 1897 has something for everyone and well-established to meet all guests' needs.

Stone Mountain RV Park & Resort is surrounded by exquisite ponderosa, pine, pinon trees and wildlife. It is only minutes away from the busy village of Ruidoso. The Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino and Billy the Kid Horse Racetrack and Casino are a short drive away, while the historic town of Lincoln (made famous by Billy the Kid), Capitan (home of Smokey the Bear), White Sands National Monument, and beautiful Cloudcoft are all short day trips from here. Locally, you can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, skiing for the outdoor enthusiasts and shopping and museums for those rainy days.
