The Gallinas River Campground is located in the beautiful town of Las Vegas, New Mexico and is a great spot for an authentic outdoor escape. Enjoy spectacular sights at the Wild River's Campground including deep, steep-sided canyons carved out by the Rio Grande River and the Red River through beautiful, volcanic rock. Experience the beauty of an 800-foot deep canyon, volcanic flowers and naturally rugged vistas. The diverse terrain ensures the perfect environment for a flourishing flora and fauna ecosystem. At an elevation of over 9,800 feet, Hopewell Lake Campground is filled not only with gorgeous mountain ranges and forestry, but crisp, fresh air. Located between Tres Pierdas and Tierra Amarilla, expect excellent outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking and tons of mountain biking. You can also fish for rainbow trout and brook at the 14 acres that makeup Hopewell Lake. Picnicking is another popular activity, and it's even better at dusk when you can enjoy beautiful New Mexico sunsets and star gazing. It's the perfect spot for your next quiet, nature getaway. 

The Elephant Rock Campground is located in the Carson National Forest, and is well-known for the Red River and Eagle Rock Lake being nearby. Campers can look forward to excellent fishing at the lakes, as well as opportunities for kayaking, swimming and boating. Visitors can also expect great hiking trails and large open areas for picnicking and exploring. The area is thick with thriving forestry, so prepare for some spectacular views, and occasional bird or deer roaming the mountain regions. 

The June Bug is located in the Red River Canyon in a gorgeous spruce-ponderosa forest. Fall in love with this New Mexico oasis at this park where you will find plenty of picnic tables and acres and acres of raw forest for exploration. There are also trails for hiking and biking, and wide open skies for stargazing. Be sure to look up at dawn and dusk to catch one of those iconic New Mexico sunrises or sunsets. The trees almost seem to absorb the noises around you, so look forward to a peaceful, relaxing getaway. 

Filled with history, Las Vegas New Mexico is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the colorful past of the state. This KOA is close to the Santa Fe trail used by Billy the Kid, and was once used by thousands of travelers, journeying across the southwest in wagons. The park is popular for its stellar views as it sits at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountain, and is surrounded by juniper and pinions. 900 historic buildings and wagon-wheel ruts highlight the area's past, while the lakes and national wildlife refuge highlight its natural wonders. Whether you're in love with hiostory or nature (or both), you're certain to be well-entertained at this park. 

Just northwest of Tucumcari is the Conchas Lake State Park. The Conchas Lake is one of New Mexico longest; explore 11 miles of the Conchas river or 14 miles of the South Canadian river. This is one of the area's most popular sites because of its secluded coves, sandy beaches and canyons, and abundance of outdoor activities available. You can boat, fish, hike, swim, camp and go bird watching which is a favorite among locals. There's also plenty of winter sports to enjoy once the snow falls!

Rogers Park and Campground is located at the Ute Lake State Park and is known for it's excellent environment for adventure and fun. Look forward to fishing for walleye, crappie, catfish and trout, as well as wildlife viewing. Keep your eyes open for deer, various species of birds, bears and elk. The area is also popular for its trails, so bring the right shoes and equipment to go hiking, biking and horseback riding. The area can get a little toasty, but breezes created from the lake sruface can help cool the land. Overall, it's an excellent place to explore some of the New mexico terrain while also find time to relax at the banks of the lake. 

The Logan Campground is located at the Ute Lake State Park, and is a perfect place for a fun getaway into some of the state's most exquisite natural terrain. Look forward to fishing for trout, walleye, crappie and catfish, as well as excellent opportunities for wind surfing, swimming, cruising and jet skiing. There are also trails around the lake, so expect great trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. It's one of those places wher eyou can do it all, and still relax!

The Oldhams Campground is located along the Canadian River; at 8,200 acres, this the longest lakes in the state and is home to a plethora of attractions. Visitors to Oldhams can look forward to excellent fishing; crappie, walleye, trout and catfirsh cna be caught here. You can also expect water sports such as water skiing, cruising, swimming and paddle boarding on the reservoir. If you enjoy wildlife viewing, there's tons to see including quail, ducks, pheasants, antelope and deer. Though temperatures can get toasty, there are wonderful breezes that flow across the lake and water's edge to alleviate the intense heat.  

The Zia Campground is located along the Ute Lake in Logan, New Mexico, and is a great spot for the camping, water sports and outdoor activities that Logan is known for. Look forward to a gorgeous lake filled with fish and perfect for water skiing, cruising, swimming and paddle boarding. Also expect some great opportunities for hiking, biking and horseback riding from along the trails that lead from the lake.
