The lake is regularly stocked with trout and salmon, and visitors can look forward to ice fishing in the winter. At an 8,300 foot elevation, the campground enjoys mild weather conditions and fresh breezes. As such, fisherman, boaters, campers, hikers and wildlife enthusiasts are commonplace at the park, and an abundance of animals make Eagle Nest Lake an ideal location for wildlife viewing.

Fall in love with New Mexico by visiting the Onderosa Group Campground in the Banedlier National Monument. Look forward to not only the spectacular views of the moment, but also great hiking trails such as the Main Loop Trail, Tsankawi Trail and the backcountry region of the monument. Be sure to keep your cameras and binoculars handy for the American Pika, deer and other wildlife that are common around this park. There are only two sites avilable though, so reserve one early! Located near Eagle's Nest on the scenic Enchanted Circle Byway is Cimarron River, home of the Cimarron Canyon State Park. The area is famous for its majestic trees, and dense forestry. Visit the park to enjoy fresh, crisp air, exquisite views and interesting geological features. Other than site seeing, visitors can look forward to excellent hiking trails, biking, fly fishing, equestrian trails and picnicking.

Enjoy spectacular sights at the Wild River's Campground including deep, steep-sided canyons carved out by the Rio Grande River and the Red River through beautiful, volcanic rock. Go hiking on one of the three trails that descend to the river. Most campers visit for the camping, but there's plenty of sight seeing, photography and biking to be done, so bring everything you need to explore!

The Wild Rivers National Recreation Area is located within the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument and along the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River. That being said, expect some of the most untouched, breathtaking views of nature this side of the United States. Experience the beauty of an 800-foot deep canyon, volcanic flowers and naturally rugged vistas. The diverse terrain ensures the perfect environment for a flourishing flora and fauna ecosystem. While you hike the trails, look out for gorgeous birds and small animals, as well as beautiful blooming flowers and plants. Besides hiking, you can also go boating, fishing, biking, picnicking and scenic driving.

The Juniper Campground is located at the Bandelier National Monument and is a popular campign spot for families and small groups of about 10 people or fewer. Look forward to some breathtaking views of the cliffside and mountain ranges, as well as a thriving wildlife landscape. Keep you eyes open for deer, the Bandelier butterflies, American pika and Abert's squirrels, as well the beautiful natural terrain that there creatures call home. The hiking trails at this park are slightly easier and shorter than at other parks at Bandelier, and this ensures that children and younger camper are not overly taxed as they explore the area. Also be sure to take pictures of the beautiful monument and look upward at dawn or dusk to see that iconic New Mexico sky! Amenities at the park include: RV dump station, RV hookups, tent camping, picnic tables, grills, water, restrooms and firewood for sale. Abiquiu Lake is located in northern New Mexico and is known to offer some of the area's finest fishing opportunities. Look forward to a 5,200 acre lake surface, and an amazing panoramic view of Flint Mountain. You can also catch glimpses of pine, sage and and juniper among colorful rock formations, so be sure to bring your camera! There's an abundance of attractions in the area including: the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, a Ghost Ranch, San Pedro Wilderness, Bandelier National Monument and the city of Santa Fe. If you love nature and adventure, this is definitely the spot for your next vacation. 

The Elephant Rock Campground is located in the Carson National Forest, and is well-known for the Red River and Eagle Rock Lake being nearby. Campers can look forward to excellent fishing at the lakes, as well as opportunities for kayaking, swimming and boating. Visitors can also expect great hiking trails and large open areas for picnicking and exploring. The area is thick with thriving forestry, so prepare for some spectacular views, and occasional bird or deer roaming the mountain regions. 

At an elevation of over 9,800 feet, Hopewell Lake Campground is filled not only with gorgeous mountain ranges and forestry, but crisp, fresh air. Located between Tres Pierdas and Tierra Amarilla, expect excellent outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking and tons of mountain biking. You can also fish for rainbow trout and brook at the 14 acres that makeup Hopewell Lake. Picnicking is another popular activity, and it's even better at dusk when you can enjoy beautiful New Mexico sunsets and star gazing. It's the perfect spot for your next quiet, nature getaway. 

The Coyote Creek State Park is located an hour east of Taos, and is nestled in the Sangre De Cristo mountains. Just beside a meandering stream, campers can enjoy hours of fly fishing, as well as the sights and sounds of a flourishing waterside oasis that's enclosed by spruce and pine. With tons of wild flowers to photograph, the park is also excellent for hiking, biking, picnicking and birding. We can't wait for you to visit the creek and see it all!

The Riana Abiquiu Lake COE located on a scenic bluff overlooking the scenic Abiquiu Lake in northern New Mexico. Look forward to the distinctive scents of the area from fragrant pinion pine, sage and juniper, as well as breathtaking sights from the colorful rock formations around the park. Visitors enjoy fishing in the lake, picnicking, boating, hiking and water skiing, and of course the gorgeous view of the desert vista.

The Eagle Gem RV Park is located near the Eagle Nest Lake, New Mexico, and is popular for water sports and sight seeing. Bring your bike and hiking shoes to explore the trails and un-chartered desert plains, and for some waterside fun, bring your poles for an excellent fishing opportunity at the lake.
