The Raton KOA is a great stopping point on a road trip between Colorado and New Mexico. Visit the great local attractions around this park, including: the Santa Fe Trail, Boy Scout Museum, downtown Raton's Historic District and Capulin Volcano National Monument. Depending on when you come, you can also look forward to small-town parades and fireworks, as well as various breathtaking ballooning events. Just northwest of Tucumcari is the Conchas Lake State Park. The Conchas Lake is one of New Mexico longest; explore 11 miles of the Conchas river or 14 miles of the South Canadian river. This is one of the area's most popular sites because of its secluded coves, sandy beaches and canyons, and abundance of outdoor activities available. You can boat, fish, hike, swim, camp and go bird watching which is a favorite among locals. There's also plenty of winter sports to enjoy once the snow falls!

Abiquiu Lake is located in northern New Mexico and is known to offer some of the area's finest fishing opportunities. Look forward to a 5,200 acre lake surface, and an amazing panoramic view of Flint Mountain. You can also catch glimpses of pine, sage and and juniper among colorful rock formations, so be sure to bring your camera! There's an abundance of attractions in the area including: the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, a Ghost Ranch, San Pedro Wilderness, Bandelier National Monument and the city of Santa Fe. If you love nature and adventure, this is definitely the spot for your next vacation. 

The Riana Abiquiu Lake COE located on a scenic bluff overlooking the scenic Abiquiu Lake in northern New Mexico. Look forward to the distinctive scents of the area from fragrant pinion pine, sage and juniper, as well as breathtaking sights from the colorful rock formations around the park. Visitors enjoy fishing in the lake, picnicking, boating, hiking and water skiing, and of course the gorgeous view of the desert vista.

The Valve Tenders Group Campground is located in Raton, in Sugarite Canyon. Soak in the gorgeous views of the canyon as well as the sunrises over Lake Alice off in the distance, and fall in love with New Mexico all over again. There's plenty to do, so get ready for hiking, biking and lots of water sports like boating, swimming and fishing. You can also go horseback riding here, and go rock climbing along the canyon. At an elevation of over 7,000 feet and plenty of sights and experiences to enjoy, you'll no doubt have a cool and relaxing time at Valve Tenders.

The Kiowa National Grassland is a primitive campsite located in Mills, New Mexico. The area is surrounded by juniper and pinion pine which rings the top of Mills Canyon; although there's not very much shade for people, if you bring your horses, you're sure to find shade for them. The area is popular for its wide, open spaces, providing plenty of room for ATV enthusiasts, equestrians and portable corrals. With hundreds of acres of wild, desert land, this park is perfect for clear skies and star gazing, biking and exploring, so feel free to go out there and explore! The park has tent sites and tent pads, but no amenities beyond that, so bring everything you need for a distraction-free stay. We hope you visit soon!

The Juniper Campground is located at the Bandelier National Monument and is a popular campign spot for families and small groups of about 10 people or fewer. Look forward to some breathtaking views of the cliffside and mountain ranges, as well as a thriving wildlife landscape. Keep you eyes open for deer, the Bandelier butterflies, American pika and Abert's squirrels, as well the beautiful natural terrain that there creatures call home. The hiking trails at this park are slightly easier and shorter than at other parks at Bandelier, and this ensures that children and younger camper are not overly taxed as they explore the area. Also be sure to take pictures of the beautiful monument and look upward at dawn or dusk to see that iconic New Mexico sky! The Soda Pocket Campground is located in Sugarite Canyon, New Mexico and is surrounded by exquisite, blooming wildflowers. These wildflowers pop up among the beautiful hiking trails, amphitheater and nearby lake. The area is known for its thriving fauna as well, so keep an eye out for hummingbirds and deer while you're there. With the lake nearby, take advantage of water sports such as cruising, swimming, kayaking and of course, plenty of fishing. And at the end of a long day, look up at the sky for the stargazing New Mexico visitors can't get enough of.

The Gambel Oak Group Campground is located in the Sugarite Canyon and as the name suggests, is filled with spectacular gambel oaks and other beautiful trees. Look forward to hiking the natural landscape and exploring nearby areas like Lake Alice with tons of opportunities for water sports. Take your line out to the lake side for some stellar fishing, or go swimming, cruising or kayaking. To truly appreciate the park, make sure to chat with the rangers and learn from them the ins-and-outs of the canyon. Ask them about the best trails and picnic areas, as well as the best spots for stargazing. 

Jemez Falls - USFS is located near the beautiful New Mexico city of Santa Fe, and is a great camping spot for the history-buff and the desert lover. Visitors can look forward to great museums, world-class art and a breathtaking natural terrain surrounding the campground.    Amenities and Activities RVers can take advantage of a ton of great activities near the campground. Some camper favorites include: skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, biking, hot air balloon rides, river rafting, golfing, ATV tours, river tubing, fishing, boating and horseback riding. The Jemez Mountains is the breathtaking backdrop for the Fenton Lake State Park in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. Surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pines, the park is ideal of wildlife viewing and hiking, and with the Rio Cebolla running through it, it's also excellent for fishing and canoeing. The river is well-stocked with rainbow trout and German brown trout; ice fishing is also popular there. The park also has a fun playground for kids making it well-sought after among the little ones, and is also known to attract cross-country skiiers during the winter months. Boating, horseback riding and picnicking are also common activities at the park.

Fall in love with New Mexico by visiting the Onderosa Group Campground in the Banedlier National Monument. Look forward to not only the spectacular views of the moment, but also great hiking trails such as the Main Loop Trail, Tsankawi Trail and the backcountry region of the monument.
