The Lake Van Recreation is located in Dexter, New Mexico on Lake Van. This is an especially popular site, not just for excellent fishing and boating opportunities on the lake, but also for its proximity to several excellent attractions. Visitors can take advantage of day trips to the Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell. These two sites in particular are fun and exciting spots where campers can learn some interesting facts about New Mexico's geological landscape and history with the "unknown." The area is also great for immersing yourself in pristine terrain, so don't forget to carve out time to hike or bike through the various trails.

Located just 14 miles southeast of Roswell, New Mexico is the Bottomless Lake campground. Enjoy an almost insane number of outdoor activities, so get your water-proof sunscreen out and packed. You can look forward to tons of fishing spots, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, cruising and even scuba diving. With an abundance of aquatic plants in the lake, the water looks greenish-blue and it's beautiful! Visitors also enjoy hiking the various trails, biking, unique sinkholes to explore.  

Look forward to the spectacular sand dunes at the Mescalero Sand North Dune Park. The dune field stretches over most of the area and lends itself well to terrain cycles, sand rails and dune buggies. The dunes, mostly made up of quartz particles, are constantly changing and move up to a foot a year. There's also some unusual natural features such as shallow water pools and mature cottonwood trees. Visitors can enjoy this vast and beautiful sand dune for all the disc-surfing they can handle, and then look forward to quiet, cool evenings looking up at a clear, beautiful sky. 

The Holloman AFB FamCamp is used for military professionals and is located within the New Mexico Air Base. The park is safe and well-known for its easy access to sights like the White Sands National Monument, Space History Museum, CLoudcroft, Pistacio Farms, Ruidoso, White Sands Missile Range and the Organ Mountains. If you like history, you'll have a blast at this campground. 

The Volunteer Park Travel Campsite is military personnel only, and as you would expect, it is clean, well-managed and operated by friendly, helpful staff. With a beautiful view and relatively close proximity to Las Cruces and the White Sands National Monument, you have a lot of space and flexibility to move around and explore. Adventure through the cities of New Mexico or the gorgeous natural terrain, and return to a comfortable park filled with convenient amenities. 

The East Side Campground is located at Sumner Lake, New Mexico and is a great place for a quiet yet adventurous southwestern vacation. Enjoy excellent fishing at the lake for trout, bass, crappie and walleye, and plenty of water surface for water sports such as swimming, boating, canoeing and paddle boarding. Of course, with so much open area to explore, many campers go on long hikes or bike rides along the trails or make their own paths. Visit Lake Sumner to enjoy the exquisite terrain iconic of the southwest. Bring your camera to capture tall, looming mountains in the background and acres of forested plains. The park is popular maong people who love watersports, but also offers excellent trails and pathways for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Located at Sumner Lake, New Mexico, Mesquite Campground is a go-to campus for excellent outdoor recreation amidst gorgeous natural terrain. The New Canyon Campground is located in Mountainair New Mexico in the Cibola National Forest. Look forward to acres and acres of juniper, ponderosa pine and gambel oaks as well as the fresh, crisp air that comes with such a thick and lush forest. Hit the short but scenic Coal Mine Natural Trail, or carve your own path through the trees whether hiking or mountain biking. Also look forward to picnicking, cave exploration and star gazing. This is an excellent place to immerse yourself in nature and have a peaceful, relaxing vacation.
