Nearby is a visitor center (on Broadway) with tons of helpful guides so you can get the most out of your stay. There's also a museum for visitors to peruse and a ghost town nearby. Also be sure to look up at night to see the spectacular light show iconic of the southwest. 

Agua Vista RV Park is located in Elephante Butter, New Mexico, and is one of the area's simple, no-frills campsites. Look forward to gorgeous desert vistas, fresh air and beautiful mountain peaks off in the distance. Look forward to friendly and knowledgeable staff who can direct you to nearby attractions such as the Rio Grande river and the Elephant Butte Lake State Park. Take a day trip to either of these sites to enjoy excellent outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, boating, swimming and jet skiing. 

The Three Sisters Campground is located in the Elephant Butte Lake State and is a perfect place to enjoy nature without distractions. Get ready for gorgeous views over the lake and plenty of water sports like fishing, swimming, boating, water skiing or just plain canoeing. Be sure to explore the desert vistas on foot or by bike, and for some true rest and relaxation, camp out under the dark, night sky for some stellar stargazing. The area is also within driving distance of great man made attractions like museums, restaurants and the occasional casino so don't be shy about getting out of the park for a day or two!

The Desert Vista RV Resort is located in Deming, New Mexico and is an excellent spot to enjoy the gorgeous desert vistas of the southwest. Go on hikes through the various trails, or stay at the resort where you can enjoy family games in the location's "Great Room." Gather around a pool table, do art and craft projects, watch movies or complete puzzles with your friends and loved ones. The resort also hosts bingo nights and potlucks through the on-site cantina. It's a great place to enjoy time with other campers in a friendly and casual environment.

Chloride is a silver mining ghost town, and home to the Apache Kid RV Park. The park is small and secluded, so take advantage of the wonderful New Mexico quiet and especially the knowledgeable staff who are like walking history books. Some visitors like to visit the nearby cemetery which has some interesting headstones, but everyone should swing by the museum; it's well worth it. The artist coop has excellent displays and all reasonably priced. It's a great place to get souvenirs. There's one beautifully restored historic cabin, so call in early to reserve.

The Black Canyon Campground is located in the Gila National Forest and is a great place to enjoy a peaceful yet engaging southwestern adventure. Lose yourself among the challenging but beautiful mountain trails, and be sure to take in those spectacular New Mexico sunrises and sunsets, and go fishing or boating at the campsite ponds. Campers tent to gravitate toward mountain biking and horseback riding, but there's also plenty to do in Silver City. Enjoy great attractions like the Gila Cliff Dwellings Monument, Spirit of the Mountain Scenic Byway and the plethora of museums and art galleries near the historic old town. There's also a number of excellent eateries, so don't forget to explore the area's amazing culinary landscape. 

The Quail Run Campground is located in Elephant Butte, New Mexico and is a great spot for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the state's big cities. Nearby are great local restaurants like Amici's Pizza, Casa Taco, and eateries among the shops at Wiregrass. The campground is relatively close to the Rio Grande river, so take a day trip out there to visit the marina and go sailing. The area is also perfect for hiking, biking and great sight seeing. Look up on any night to enjoy stargazing or a spectacular New Mexico sunrise. 

Elks Lodge 413 is for Elks only and is a great place to relax or go out and explore nearby attractions. The park is just a short drive from Silver City, so when you're ready to explore, there's plenty to see and do. Get ready for museums, historical buildings, the Ancient Indian Ruins, Gila Cliff Dwellings, the Spirit of the Mountain Scenic Byway and a host of other great attractions. Silver City is also known for buzzing with culture and creativity so be sure to visit of one of the art galleries or try a bite from one of the local culinary hotspots. 

The Grapevine Campground is located at the Gila National Forest and is a great place for exploring the beauty and serenity of the mountainous regions of Silver City. The east and west Gila River's join to offer campers excellent opportunities to fish and relax by the waterside, and there's also plenty of trails and easy-to-maneuver areas for hiking. Visitors can also look forward to horseback riding and mountain biking, and the plethora of great attractions in Silver City. Expect to be blown away by sites such as the Spirit of the Mountain Scenic Byway, the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the museums and art galleries that dot the old historic district.

Look forward to plenty of fresh air and acres upon acres of untouched land to explore. Campers especially love hiking and biking the trails, but you also have the option to go to the downtown Silver City area to experience the local attractions there. Get ready for a look into the history and culture of New Mexico with sits like the Ancient Indian Ruins, Spirit of the Mountains Scenic Byway and Gila Cliff Dwellings Monument. There's also tons of art galleries, live shows and great, local eateries to enjoy.

The Paseo Del Rio Campground is located in the Elephant Butte Lake State Park, and is perfect for a long escape into the natural terrain of the southwest. far from the crowds with plenty of open space, this park offers visitors the chance to spread out and roam on foot, ATV of bike. Go to the lake to enjoy excellent fishing, boating, water skiing or just an easy-going afternoon on a paddle board. There's also plenty of clear, open skies for stargazing and of course, don't be shy about soaking in those iconic New Mexico sunrises and sunsets. 

The City of Rocks State Park gets its name from the incredible volcanic rock formations found here. The park is a mile from the scenic Chihuahuan Desert Region of southwest New Mexico, and stands at an elevation of 5,200 feet. The geological formation is made up of large, sculpted rock columns and pinnacles rising as high as 40 feet, and separated by paths or lanes resembling streets. After years of natural erosion, the formations have an almost other-worldly appearance, filling the landscape like towers against the beautiful New Mexico sky.
