Rogers Park and Campground is located at the Ute Lake State Park and is known for it's excellent environment for adventure and fun. The area is also popular for its trails, so bring the right shoes and equipment to go hiking, biking and horseback riding. The area can get a little toasty, but breezes created from the lake sruface can help cool the land. The Hackberry Campground is located in the beautiful town of Canyon and is a great place for a quiet and relaxing Texas vacation. Campers can enjoy a number of excellent attractions just beyond the campground including the Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Panhandle-Plains Historic Museum, Palo Duro Riding Stables and the Lighthouse Trail for excellent hiking and scenic viewing. Other great attractions and activities include: the Palo Duro Zipline Adventures, Elkins Ranch, Jeep tours, the Pioneer Amphitheater and Tex Randall. For the nature-enthusiast, the Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a definite win, as is the Goodnight Memorial Trail.
