The Big Creek Baldy Lookout Cabin sits at an elevation of over 5,700 feet in the Kootenai National Forest, and is a perfect place for a cozy, secluded getaway. Campers can enjoy the panoramic views of the wide valleys and densely forested peaks. Lake Koocanusa and the Yaak River are popular features of this park. As you hike, bike and explore this lush area, keep your eyes open for curious wildlife like elk, moose, deer, bears, birds and smaller mammals. Campers can also look forward to water activities like fishing, cruising, paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking. Visitors can also take advantage of berry picking and birding. 

The Howard Lake Campground is located at the Kootenai National Forest. Campers can look forward to hiking the gorgeous paths and mountain ranges, and trails for mountain biking. Keep your eyes peeled as you explore your way through the fir and pine trees for moose, elk, bald eagles and deer; they're curious and normally friendly! Fishing and other water activities are also popular, so look forward to cruising, canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking. 

Kenck Cabin is a lodge for rent in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. Campers visit for the beautiful and serene surroundings along the South Fork Sun River, and the wildlife viewing. Expect elk and bear, smaller creatures and birds, as well as a wonderfully peaceful space for relaxation. It is bear country, so keep on high alert as you hike and explore the area. 

The Sun Canyon L&C Campground is located in a lush, yet rugged area within the Lew and Clark National Forest, and is conveniently situated along the Gibson Reservoir. Visitors can look forward to excellent fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking, with gorgeous sights over the water's surface at dusk and dawn. The campground is also popular for biking and hiking so be sure to pack well so you can truly explore the trails and unmarked territory of the forest. The Lewis and Clark Forest has quite the population of bears, so be sure to keep an eye open while you're out wildlife viewing and climbing the inclines. 

Go all the way up to see some of Idaho’s most beautiful wildlife. Located right along the river at an elevation of 2,600 feet, the Idaho Panhandle/Devil’s Elbow campground has endless outdoor activities for the family to enjoy.   Amenities & Activities   The campground features: restrooms, paved roads, hand-pumped drinking water, self-pay stations, trash collection, vault toilets and a host site with a helpful information board.  Owl Creek Cabin is a single room, rustic cabin that can house up to 4 people, and is located in Swan Valley at a 4,200 foot elevation. Look forward a gorgeous mix of conifers, lodgepole pines and fir filling the acres of wild lands surrounding the cabin, and wildlife viewing. Catch sights of moose, elk and deer while you hiking and bike the hills and trails and be sure to bring your winter gear for skiing and snow mobile fun during the colder months. Holland Lake is also relatively close by, so head down there for great trout fishing. 

The Holland Lake Campground is located near the Holland Falls National Recreation Trail. At an elevation of over 4,500 feet, visitors can enjoy the mild weather, thick foliage and plenty of shade. There's also several excellent trails that take campers up and around some of the most beautiful spots of the Holland Falls area. Don't be shy! You don't have to limit yourself to hiking; get your mountain bike out of the garage and have a blast at these trails if you can. There's also plenty of fishing to be done at Holland Lake; there's a variety of trout and salmon and a wide lake surface that's perfect for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and boating.
