Located in the Flathead National Forest is the Lindberg Lake Campground, a gorgeous oasis of Montana wilderness and pristine waters. The Upper Stillwater Lake Campground is located is located in the Flathead National Forest and though it is a primitive campsite, it is very popular, especially around the summer months. The campsite is well-known for its gorgeous scenes and hiking trails, as well as fishing at the lake. Look forward to plenty of trout, and great weather for swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking and water skiing. Campers can also expect great wildlife viewing; keep your eyes open for curious deer, moose and elk, as well as beautiful birds near the lakeside.  

The Swan lake Campground is located just across from the lake and is newly renovated with paved campsites. Visitors can look forward to gorgeous views from the hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as plenty of trout fishing at the lake. Campers can also expect other water sports such as water skiing, boating, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. There are also numerous picnic tables, so get ready for quiet, peaceful picnics along the waterside. 

The Apgar Campground is located on the southern tip of Lake McDonald in the breathtaking Glacier National Park. Campers and sight seers can look forward to alpine meadows and pristine forests, and with over 700 miles of trails, is perfect for a relaxing mountain escape. Campers can look forward to hiking and mountain biking the various trails, and at an elevation over over 5,500 feet, is all steeped in a breezy, cool environment. Visitors can also take advantage of wildlife viewing, so keep your eyes open for bears, mule deer, moose, elk and small birds. Like fishing? You'll love this park for its abundance of whitefish, cutthroat, bull and rainbow trout. The Going-To-The-Sun road is a gorgeous and scenic drive, so be sure to spend time on this wonder of engineering. 

The Big Creek Baldy Lookout Cabin sits at an elevation of over 5,700 feet in the Kootenai National Forest, and is a perfect place for a cozy, secluded getaway. Campers can enjoy the panoramic views of the wide valleys and densely forested peaks. Lake Koocanusa and the Yaak River are popular features of this park. As you hike, bike and explore this lush area, keep your eyes open for curious wildlife like elk, moose, deer, bears, birds and smaller mammals. Campers can also look forward to water activities like fishing, cruising, paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking. Visitors can also take advantage of berry picking and birding. 

The Howard Lake Campground is located at the Kootenai National Forest. Campers can look forward to hiking the gorgeous paths and mountain ranges, and trails for mountain biking. Keep your eyes peeled as you explore your way through the fir and pine trees for moose, elk, bald eagles and deer; they're curious and normally friendly! Fishing and other water activities are also popular, so look forward to cruising, canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking. 

Go all the way up to see some of Idaho’s most beautiful wildlife. Soak in the landscape through hiking the gorgeous trails of mountain biking the challenging trails. Picnicking is another favorite at this campground is if you're a fan of fun with friends around sandwiches and juices, this park's numerous picnic tables will make you super happy. Surrounded by thriving fir and pine trees, this campground provides campers with the perfect environment to have a relaxing and fun getaway.

The Missoula KOA is located within the city of Missoula and surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. The friendly staff and well-managed campground make it easy to enjoy the gorgeous Montana landscape the campground is nestled within. Campers can explore the Lewis and Clark Trail, Garnett Ghost Town, Smoke Jumpers Museum and National Bison Range. This campground is also popular because it sits at a great stopping point right between the Yellowstone National Park and the Glacier National Park, so not only will you get to see the iconic yellow volcano, but also get the chance to view other geological features and sights.  

The McGillivray Campground is located in Libby, Montana, adjacent to a reservoir. At an elevation of over 2,500 feet, this campground is perfectly nestled within dense forestry, so campers can look forward to wildlife viewing, exploring and hiking. Mountain biking is a popular activity at this campsite so get ready for challenging paths and beautiful views from various spots around the reservoir. An of course, fishing is popular at this campsite. Look forward to kokanee salmon, trout and whitefish, as well as plenty of surface acreage on the reservoir for canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking. 

Located in the beautiful Swan River Valley is the Lake Placid Lake State Park, and the lake provides a peaceful setting for your next Montana getaway.
