The Three Frogs Campground is located in the Bitterroot Recreation Area, and is a popular site for quiet, easy-going group camping. While mountain biking, keep your eyes peeled for curious elk, moose or deer, as well as the occasional small creature and bird. The Schumaker Campground is located in the Bitterroot National Forest and sits on the edge of Twin Lakes. Though no motorized water sports are allowed on the lake, campers can look forward to plenty of peace and stillness to go paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing. Campers can also take advantage of the trails for hiking and mountain biking, but are encouraged to keep their eyes open for deer, moose, elk, birds and small creatures. The Jennings Camp Campground is located in the Bitterroot national Forest, and campers flock there continually to soak in those gorgeous views from the mountain peaks. With acres and acres of fir and pine trees filling the landscape, the campsite is also popular for its hiking and biking paths and wildlife viewing. Look forward to elk, deer and moose, as well as plenty of white fish and trout in the nearby East Fork of the Bitterroot River to fish. The campground is also popular for picnicking, so it's perfect if you're camping with a group. 

The Rombo Campground is located in a scenic area along the West Fork of the Bitterroot River, and is surrounded by yellow-bark poinderosa pine. Visitors can look forward to free air, and wide open spaces for hiking, biking and exploring, as well as the nearby river for water activities. This campground is popular for trout fishing at the river, as well as river rafting, boating and some swimming. The Painted Rocks Lake is also relatively close by for even more water fun and gorgeous views of the Montana wilderness. The East Fork Cabin is located in the Bitterroot National Forest at the East Fork of the forest. This means campers can look forward to excellent whitefish and trout fishing at the river, as well as acres upon acres of fir and pine trees to explore; whether you're hiking or mountain biking, this lush, dense forestry is sure to amaze. White you're viewing the wilderness, keep your eyes open for wildlife like mule deer, moose and elk, and be sure to look up at night to enjoy some stellar stargazing. The Alta Campground is located in the scenic wilderness of the Bitterroot National Forest, near the West Form of the Bitterroot River. The yellow-barked ponderosa pine tower over most campsites, and campers can also look forward to an excellent angler and trout fishing opportunity at the riverside. There's also plenty of space by the water for water sports like swimming, kayaking and some boating. While you're at the campsite, keep your eyes open for wildlife like elk, deer and moose, and don't be shy about exploring on foot or bike. There's plenty to see and experience. There's also nearby attractions for campers to enjoy, such as Hughes Creek and natural hot springs just 18 miles from the campground.

The Martin Creek Campground is located in the Bitterroot National Forest near Martin Creek, so campers can expect acres and acres of thriving fir and pine trees as well as pristine waters perfect for trout fishing. Love exploring? Visitors have access to a trail head from this campground that takes them to Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness, or just go mountain biking around the various paths around the creek. Picnicking is also popular at this campground, so if you have a big group, be sure to pack sandwiches and just enjoy the day at one of the picnic areas. 

The Lake Como Campground is located in the Bitterroot National Forest and is a single loop through a thick grouping of fir and pine trees. It's one of the campsites in the lake Como Recreation Area and a clean, quiet spot for distraction-free camping. Visitors can look forward to hiking and exploring the wooded area, picnicking and stargazing at night. There's plenty of fresh air, so make sure to bring your bike for some excellent mountain biking. 

The Mission Lookout Cabin towers above the forest canopy, providing guests with unrivaled 360 degree views of the beautiful Swan Lake. At an elevation of over 3,700 feet, visitors can look forward to great weather and scenic views of the Flathead National Forest. Along with the spectacular scenery, the immediate area offers visitors an unlimited array of outdoor activities ranging from fishing and swimming at the nearby Swan Lake, to watching the migratory waterfowl at the wildlife area. Hunting is also popular not far from the lookout. Shooting within 150 yards of the lookout or from the road is not allowed. A variety of hiking and mountain biking trails can be found in the area.    

The Three Sisters Group Site Campground is located in the Bitterroot National Forest and is just across the road from the Rock Creek Horse Camp. Get ready for a gorgeous campsite with plenty of space to room and amenities to guarantee you a distraction-free stay. Visitors can look forward to fishing at Rock Creek, or just hanging out at the water's edge with friends; campers can also expect acres and acres of forestry for exploring, hiking and mountain biking, as well as picnic tables for group camping. 

The Sam Billings Memorial Campground is located in a scenic area along the West Fork of the Bitterroot River, and is surrounded by yellow-bark poinderosa pine. Visitors can look forward to free air, and wide open spaces for hiking, biking and exploring, as well as the nearby river for water activities. This campground is popular for trout fishing at the river, as well as river rafting, boating and some swimming. The Murray Bay Campground is located 22 miles south of Martin City and is an idyllic, gorgeous spot for your next quiet escape into Montana. Look forward to fishing trout at the bay, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, boating and water skiing, as well as waterside picnics and star gazing. Get ready for beautiful views of mountain ranges in the distance and tall, majestic trees filling the land. Hoist your hammock, start your bonfire, and settle in for fresh air and silence of the Murrary Bay Campground.

The Lost Johnny Point Campground is located high in the Rocky Mountains and is one of the most picturesque campgrounds in this area. Visitors can look forward to excellent scenes, fresh air and long, challenging hiking trails. With an over 27,000 acre reservoir, campers can enjoy boating, swimming and fishing for cutthroat trout. Guests can also go canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding, so don't forget your water gear. Picnicking is also common at this park, but don't limit yourself to the picnic tables. Go out and explore; you're bound to find a great spot while you're out roaming the forest.

The Swan lake Campground is located just across from the lake and is newly renovated with paved campsites. Visitors can look forward to gorgeous views from the hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as plenty of trout fishing at the lake. There are also numerous picnic tables, so get ready for quiet, peaceful picnics along the waterside. 

The Sun Canyon L&C Campground is located in a lush, yet rugged area within the Lew and Clark National Forest, and is conveniently situated along the Gibson Reservoir. Visitors can look forward to excellent fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking, with gorgeous sights over the water's surface at dusk and dawn. The campground is also popular for biking and hiking so be sure to pack well so you can truly explore the trails and unmarked territory of the forest. The Lewis and Clark Forest has quite the population of bears, so be sure to keep an eye open while you're out wildlife viewing and climbing the inclines.
