Lose yourself at winter time in the gorgeous, white snow and long paths for snow mobile drives, sledding and skiing. During your excursions, keep your eyes open for wildlife like elk, deer and moose, and at summer months be sure to enjoy the lush greenery of the Montana forests. Other popular activities at the park include hiking and mountain biking, and also be sure to look up during those clear, dark nights to enjoy some stargazing. 

The Mission Lookout Cabin towers above the forest canopy, providing guests with unrivaled 360 degree views of the beautiful Swan Lake. At an elevation of over 3,700 feet, visitors can look forward to great weather and scenic views of the Flathead National Forest. Along with the spectacular scenery, the immediate area offers visitors an unlimited array of outdoor activities ranging from fishing and swimming at the nearby Swan Lake, to watching the migratory waterfowl at the wildlife area. Hunting is also popular not far from the lookout. Shooting within 150 yards of the lookout or from the road is not allowed. A variety of hiking and mountain biking trails can be found in the area.

Campers can look forward to a plethora of excellent attractions like hiking the challenging and beautiful trails along the hills, as well as a number of water sports. The Ashley Lake North Campground is located along the sky blue waters of Ashley Lake and is an absolute treasure among visitors and locals alike. For those of you hoping for more relaxing activities, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing and swimming are also common at Ashley Lake. There's also plenty of space in and around the campsite for hiking, mountain biking and just plain exploring, so make sure to keep your trip schedule loose so you can really get lost in the gorgeous lakeside forest.

The Summit Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Get ready to immerse yourself in the gorgeous rolling hills, mountains and small valleys of the campground, where pine and fir are in abundance. Visitors can look forward to plenty of challenging yet beautiful hiking trails and for walking, exploring and mountain biking. Picnicking is also immensely popular at this park, as is stargazing, so be sure to find a camping spot that has a clear overview of the sky. 

The Sylvia Lake Campground is a primitive site, with plenty of excellent mountain-scapes over the sea and sky. Look forward to lake activities such as trout fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing and fishing. There's also plenty of  gorgeous land for all of your hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding needs. Picnicking is also popular at this site, and a little known treat is stargazing. Stay out late and spread a blanket to enjoy the true beauty of the park.

The area is thick with lush, thriving forestry, so visitors can also expect excellent hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, as well as plenty of fresh air. Hunting is also popular at this cabin, as is wildlife viewing and winter sports like sow shoeing, sledding and skiing. Just in front of the cabin is a small, grassy area, ideal for fun family events and group games, so bring your soccer and footballs for hours of group games! 

The Kintla lake Campground is located in the Glacier National Park and so is a gorgeous oasis of pure Montana forestry and lakes. It's remote and located at the park's North Fork area where there's plenty of quiet and plenty of shade. Trout fishing and non-motorized sports like canoeing and kayaking are common on this lake, but also get ready for some spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the waterside. And don't forget your hiking boots! This area is popular for excellent paths and challenging trails, so get ready for a tough and peaceful hike!

The town is popular for its excellent local attractions, museums and historic sites, so make sure to carve out some time to visit Polson.
