Serene, beautiful and off the beaten Montana trail is the Racetrack Cabin. The small building is tucked away within the dense forest and is well-known is a quiet safe-haven for hunters, and retreat from the curious bears roaming around outside. Get ready for a number of excellent outdoor activities other than fishing. Campers can look forward to big game hunting, nature viewing, wildlife viewing for elk, deer and moose and hiking along the beautiful and challenging paths. Winter sports are also popular, so look forward to snow shoeing, sledding and skiing. At a high elevation, campers can expect mild summers and fresh air, so pack a bag and head up to the Doney Lake Cabin. The site is very primitive and doesn't include water, so be sure to bring all the supplies you'll need!

The Grasshopper Campground and Picnic Area is located in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge national Forest. Campers can look forward to a breathtaking oasis of pine and fir trees, rolling hills and high peaks for hiking and mountain biking. Visitors who enjoy winter sports will love this park for providing an excellent landscape for snow showing, sledding and skiing. Grasshopper Creek is located near the campsite, so look forward to river and stream fishing for trout and excellent spots for river rafting and kayaking. Also be sure to pause for picnicking and group fun at the low, leveled plains at this park, which are also perfect for looking up and stargazing!

The Mormon Gulch Campground and Picnic Area is located in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge Forest, so get ready for some incredible nature terrain, curious wildlife like elk, deer and moose for viewing and nearby creeks for fishing. Look forward to various species of trout and calm waters for boating, water skiing and swimming, as well as plenty of open space for hiking and mountain biking. And of course, visitors can look forward to the high elevation and fresh air for picnicking. 

The Racetrack Campground is located in southwest Montana near the Racetrack Creek, and is surrounded by the gorgeous pines and firs native to Montana. Visitors can look forward to excellent trout fishing at the creek, as well as plenty of space for picnicking and enjoying group fun. There's also natural paths to explore, so be sure to do some hiking and biking and pause every now and again to catch a glimpse of the wildlife in the area. Deer, elk and moose are common.
