Located in the beautiful Swan River Valley is the Lake Placid Lake State Park, and the lake provides a peaceful setting for your next Montana getaway. Campers can look forward to boating, fishing for whitefish and trout, canoeing or kayaking, water skiing, or just enjoy a picnic at the waterside. If you enjoy birding, you'll absolutely love this bar, so look forward to species like red-necked grepes, great blue herons, bald eagles and osprey. There's also a thriving wilderness of fir and pine trees to explore and hike, and while you're out there, keep your eyes peeled for elk, mule deer and moose. There's so much to do and experience, you'll want to extend your trip!

Located in the Flathead National Forest is the Lindberg Lake Campground, a gorgeous oasis of Montana wilderness and pristine waters. Campers can look forward to wildlife viewing, so keep your eyes peeling for elk, moose, deer and various species of birds. There's also plenty of open space for hiking, biking, horseback riding and exploring, as well as acres of water space on the lake to fish, swim, boat, water ski and even just enjoy a quiet evening by the water side. 

Located in Central Montana in the Lewis and Clark National Forest is the Wood Lake Campground. Near the banks of a high elevation lake, the park is surrounded by deep woods, fresh air and offers acres and acres of forest for exploration. Hiking is certainly a popular activity at this park, so if you love to hike, bring your boots and get ready for the several challenging trails that extend out of the forest. Visitors can also enjoy plenty of fishing, and the campground is especially quiet early in the mornings for a quick escape into a serene fishing experience. 

 Owl Creek Cabin is a single room, rustic cabin that can house up to 4 people, and is located in Swan Valley at a 4,200 foot elevation. Look forward a gorgeous mix of conifers, lodgepole pines and fir filling the acres of wild lands surrounding the cabin, and wildlife viewing. Catch sights of moose, elk and deer while you hiking and bike the hills and trails and be sure to bring your winter gear for skiing and snow mobile fun during the colder months. Holland Lake is also relatively close by, so head down there for great trout fishing. 

The Holland Lake Campground is located near the Holland Falls National Recreation Trail. At an elevation of over 4,500 feet, visitors can enjoy the mild weather, thick foliage and plenty of shade. There's also several excellent trails that take campers up and around some of the most beautiful spots of the Holland Falls area. Don't be shy! You don't have to limit yourself to hiking; get your mountain bike out of the garage and have a blast at these trails if you can. There's also plenty of fishing to be done at Holland Lake; there's a variety of trout and salmon and a wide lake surface that's perfect for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and boating.

If you're looking for a beautiful and serene escape into the gorgeous mountains of the Lewis and Clark National Park, you'll be in for a treat at the Benchmark Campground. Neighbored by heavily wooden and the Wood Creek, this campsite is perfect for early mornings journeys down to the waterside for fishing and fresh air, and long, challenging hikes through the forest. Visitors can also take advantage of canoeing, kayaking, boating and swimming, as well as clear, dark skies for stargazing. 

The Jennings Camp Campground is located in the Bitterroot national Forest, and campers flock there continually to soak in those gorgeous views from the mountain peaks. With acres and acres of fir and pine trees filling the landscape, the campsite is also popular for its hiking and biking paths and wildlife viewing. Look forward to elk, deer and moose, as well as plenty of white fish and trout in the nearby East Fork of the Bitterroot River to fish. The campground is also popular for picnicking, so it's perfect if you're camping with a group. 

Located on 15 Koa Rd in Three Forks, MT lies the Camp Three Forks. This campground includes electricity. This site is open May 21 - Sep 15.

The East Fork Cabin is located in the Bitterroot National Forest at the East Fork of the forest. This means campers can look forward to excellent whitefish and trout fishing at the river, as well as acres upon acres of fir and pine trees to explore; whether you're hiking or mountain biking, this lush, dense forestry is sure to amaze. White you're viewing the wilderness, keep your eyes open for wildlife like mule deer, moose and elk, and be sure to look up at night to enjoy some stellar stargazing. Horseback riding is also popular so take advantage of the trails and paths around this campground. Camping during the winter time?
