Be sure to pack gear for hiking and mountain biking, and while your outside, keep yours eyes peel for wildlife like elk and curious small animals. Of course, picnicking is another common activity at this park, so remember to pack big spray and blankets!

The Philipsburg Bay Campground is adjacent Georgetown lake, and is perfect for a quiet yet adventure-filled outdoor experience. The site is popular for trout fishing, but is also great for wildlife viewing outside of the water. Keep your eyes peeled for elk, deer, moose and even bears, as well as the sights and smells of the gorgeous lush forests. Canoeing and boating are also popular, as is hiking and horseback riding. The Gird Point Lookout Cabin is located in the Bitterroot national Forest, and is popular because it's so secluded from most other parks. Campers can look forward to a unique chance to camp on the top of a mountain peak in an old-time rustic setting.
