The lake was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and recreation and opened to the public in 1977. We have a renovated 18-hole disc golf course, and offer kayaking and paddleboarding rentals (limited days available), fishing, and boating. Be on the lookout for weekends that also offer park events! Quail Ridge Campground is located approximately 1/8 of a mile East of I-35 and 100 yards South from Hwy 136 behind Taco Bell & Subway. Our park has 10 pull through concrete pad sites which include full hookups. It is within walking distance to food & fuel and offers easy access for those passing through for the night. Our sites are available on a first come, first served basis. We have spaces that will handle campers up to 36ft and additional spaces that will fit campers over 40+ feet. You're welcome to call ahead to see if we have available space. Check in and check out is at 12:00pm each day.
