The lake was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and recreation and opened to the public in 1977. For more information on additional recreational amenities, please visit our website. The park includes a six-mile concrete multipurpose trail. We have a renovated 18-hole disc golf course, and offer kayaking and paddleboarding rentals (limited days available), fishing, and boating. Be on the lookout for weekends that also offer park events! Lake Cunningham features the West C Campground which has 41 concrete RV sites with electrical of 20, 30, and 50-amplifications. The East C Campground features 42 concrete campground stalls complete with water, electrical of 20, 30, and 50 amps, and sanitary at each pad as well as a bathhouse facility.  All RV sites have access to a fire ring, freshwater fill station, and a dump station when you enter the campground entrance. The sites are 40 x 80 with fire rings and picnic tables. There is a large play area to play baseball, football and yard games. We sell firewood and exchange LP tanks. We offer full 20/30/50 amp service sites along with cabins for those seeking a more modern stay.
