Cottonwood Family Campground is located in the beautiful town of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and is a great spot for a fun and relaxing vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of great attractions just beyond the campground, including the famous hot pools, Lava's Indoor Swimming Pool & Aquatic Center with Kiddie Cove, Lava zip line adventures, floating the river, golfing and visitors can also look forward to a short drive to the Yellowstone National Park, perfect for scenic viewing, tours and wildlife viewing. The Black Butte Cabin is located in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, right at the edge of a grassy meadow. At an elevation of over 8,900 feet, campers can enjoy plenty of fresh air and clear, expansive skies for stargazing at night. Get ready for some truly breath taking views of the volcanic cone and distance mountain ranges, but don't just enjoy it from a distance. Go out there and hike or bike the challenging trails to truly immerse yourself in the wilderness terrain. There's also plenty of wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for deer, elk and antelope while you're out exploring. Hunting is also common here, so if that's your sport of choice, you'll love this spot.
