The Three Frogs Campground is located in the Bitterroot Recreation Area, and is a popular site for quiet, easy-going group camping. Visitors can expect a good time along the various hiking trails and picnic tables, and also expect great wildlife viewing. While mountain biking, keep your eyes peeled for curious elk, moose or deer, as well as the occasional small creature and bird. Also be sure to look up at night through a clearing in the trees for a view of the gorgeous stars after dusk. 

The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest is located close to Georgetown Lake. If you like fishing, you'll absolutely love this lake. Look forward to ice and pond fishing for various species of trout, and calm, beautiful waters for canoeing, kayaking or boating. Water skiing and swimming are also popular at this park. The air is fresh, clean and clear, making it ideal for picnicking and stargazing. The are is quiet, well-maintained and beautiful, and is great for your next Montana getaway.

Yellowstone is a short 90 minute drive away and Bozeman is 60 minutes. Before you ask, YES, we have Moose occasionally rambling through the campground in addition to all other types of wildlife found in Montana. Ekstrom’s Stage Station is a collection of historic log buildings reassembled along Montana’s famous Rock Creek, functioning today as a campground. The campground is situated in a large grassy meadow surrounded by tall pine trees and is famously quaint and quiet, comfortably accommodating RV’s up to 45′ in length. Please call ahead regarding availability for larger RV’s.  The campground offers water & electric sites as well as full hookup sites. Nearby Rock Creek lures fisherfolk from all over and provides the perfect background music for hikers. Basketball, volleyball courts and playground are also provided. In addition to RV sites and tent sites, there are also rustic log cabins, an historic school house, and two tiny houses on wheels.

Campers can look forward to gorgeous fir and pine trees as well as the beautiful banks of the creek. Mining for precious gems is another popular activity, and visitors can tour the nearby ghost town or go fishing at the nearby lake.
