The scenic pine forest offers plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing; keep an eye out for bears, deer, elk, osprey, geese, foxes, grosbeaks and whooping cranes. Visitors can also go searching for water creatures, with fishing being especially popular in this area. Rainbow, bull and lake trout are common at Summit Lake.
