Summit Lake Campground is located between Warm Lake and Landmark, and visitors love the fact that this campground is on a high elevation and enjoys many cool evenings. The scenic pine forest offers plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing; keep an eye out for bears, deer, elk, osprey, geese, foxes, grosbeaks and whooping cranes. Visitors can also go searching for water creatures, with fishing being especially popular in this area. Rainbow, bull and lake trout are common at Summit Lake. You can also look forward to the Billy rice Swim Beach, and many spots to set up a picnic. The area around the beach also offers the space and trails for hunting, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and off-road vehicle riding.
