The Prescott National Forest is made up of about 1.25 million acres and borders three other National Forests in Arizona: Kaibab, Coconino and Tonto. As a result, campers can look forward to plenty of space for exploring and breathtaking views for scenic viewing and photography. Half of the Forest lies east of Prescott and takes in the Black Hills, Mingus Mountain, Black Mesa and the headwaters of the Verde River and enjoys a Sonoran Desert landscape and warm atmosphere. The Holt's Shell RV Park is located in the beautiful town of Gila Bend, Arizona, and is known for its excellent gift shop. Visitors can buy historical and cultural symbols, toys, clothes and art, all well-curated and gathered by staff local to the area. Guests can also head down to the city area for excellent eateries, or visit iconic Arizona sites like the Painted Rock Petroglyph Site, Desert Botanical Gardens, Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium and the El Dorado Hot Springs.
