This wilderness campground 25 miles from Durango, Colorado has been sometimes referred to as "Colorado's Best Kept Secret" and neighbors the Weminuche Wilderness, and borders 1800 feet of lake and river frontage. At an elevation of 6,000 feet, the weather tends to be cool and fair, and there's tons of space for nature walking and exploring.
