The Ridge Rock Campground is located at Heron lake State Park, New mexico and is an excellent spot for a quiet getaway into the peaceful terrain of a southwestern watering hole. The lakeis a designated "quiet lake," meaning boat operators cannot get up to wake speeds. As such, enjoy canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake surface, and cross country skiing and ice fishing in the winter months. The lake is well-known for world-class fly fishing, so don't forget your rod if you'r hoping to snag some trout or salmon during your visit.
