The Fawn Lakes Campground is located in the Carson National Forest and and is one of the few camping spots along the scenic length of the Red River. Soak in the amazing sights and smells of ponderosa pines that blankets the areas surrounding the water, and explore the park via the beautiful but challenging hiking trails. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and swimming at the pools near the campground, and it is bear country so keep your eyes open for black bears as you enjoy the natural terrain. The City of Red River is close by, so head over there for general sight seeing and to stock up on food, souvenirs and supplies. 

Just a mile east of Eagle Nest Lake is the Weathers RV Park, a popular site because of it's close proximity to the lake. Enjoy excellent fishing and water sports such as boating, swimming and kayaking, while looking around at the gorgeous mountain ranges. It's also in a great location for visitors wanting to tour attractions such as the Enchanted Circle. Go hiking and biking around the lake, and look forward to picnics along the campsite.

 The Juniper Campground is located at the Bandelier National Monument and is a popular camping spot for families and small groups of about 10 people or fewer. Look forward to some breathtaking views of the cliffside and mountain ranges, as well as a thriving wildlife landscape. Keep you eyes open for deer, the Bandelier butterflies, American pika and Abert's squirrels, as well the beautiful natural terrain that there creatures call home. The hiking trails at this park are slightly easier and shorter than at other parks at Bandelier, and this ensures that children and younger camper are not overly taxed as they explore the area. The Pinion Access Trail is a popular trail to hike, and know that the biking trails are open and intermediate in difficulty. The Salmon Run Campground is located at the Heron Lake State Park and is a great place to connect with nature. The lake is designated as a "quiet lake," so no wake-speeds are permitted among boat operators. This means visitors can enjoy peaceful paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking excursions, as well as fishign for trout and salmon. In the winter months, ice fishing and cross crountry skiing are popular, so plan for that! On land, campers can enjoy hiking the great trails, biking, pinicking and wildlife viewing.
