There are 19 primitive campsites at Windsurf Beach and Arboles Point, and are the perfect spots for a fun tenting trip out ini the gorgeous waterfront  areas. The sites are ideal for small RVs and tents, and are open year round but cannot be reserved so the off-season is the best time to head over there! The sites are right by the water, and with wide open spaces and plenty of gorgeous trees and clear skies, it's a photographer's paradise. Lose yourself in the tall pines of the Little Oso Primitive Campground at the Heron Lake State Park in New Mexico. The lake is designated a "quiet lake," so boat operators cannot ride at wake speeds. The Elephant Rock Campground is located in the Carson National Forest, and is well-known for the Red River and Eagle Rock Lake being nearby. Campers can look forward to excellent fishing at the lakes, as well as opportunities for kayaking, swimming and boating. Visitors can also expect great hiking trails and large open areas for picnicking and exploring. The area is thick with thriving forestry, so prepare for some spectacular views, and occasional bird or deer roaming the mountain regions.
