Find RV Parks and Campgrounds near Capulin, Colorado

The Willow Creek Campground is located at the Heron Lake State Park in New Mexico and neighbors Santa Fe. It's the perfect spot for fresh air and acres and acres of gorgeous forestry and southwestern beauty. Enjoy fishing trout and salmon, and since the lake is a designated "quiet lake," you can also look forward to peaceful canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Hiking is also very popular at this site, but don't forget your bike if you want to experience the trails just a little bit differently! You can alos make a day trip to Santa Fe or Albuquerque, so plan to catch the balloon festival if you can. It's a real treat. 

There are 19 primitive campsites at Windsurf Beach and Arboles Point, and are the perfect spots for a fun tenting trip out ini the gorgeous waterfront  areas. The sites are ideal for small RVs and tents, and are open year round but cannot be reserved so the off-season is the best time to head over there! The sites are right by the water, and with wide open spaces and plenty of gorgeous trees and clear skies, it's a photographer's paradise. Get ready for some stellar scenic viewing, hiking, biking, sunset viewing, fishing and stargazing. The sites are in a relatively remote location, so be sure to pack everything you'll need for a fun and distraction-free stay, but there is a post office, marine store and country store just a short drive from the park. The Arroyo Hondo Recreation is located in the beautiful city of Taos, New Mexico and is a great spot for your next southwestern vacation. Look forward to site seeing at the Rio del Norte National Monument, and enjoying the great fishing opportunity offered at the local streams. Be sure to go outside and take advantage of the hiking and biking trails, as well as large, clear skies for stargazing. It's quiet, clean and well-managed, and is perfect for a serene New Mexico getaway. 

The Cedar Springs Campground is located in the Carson Nation Forest. At an elevation of over 7,000 feet, get ready from pristine forestry and crisp, fresh mountain air. Enjoy acres and acres of land to explore as well as clear-cut hiking and biking trails and a few places set aside for horseback riding. Campers can also enjoy picnicking at the various sites. Be sure to look up at sunrise and sunset to catch the amazing New Mexico sky show. If you're looking for a serene escape into nature, this is the spot for you!

The Raton KOA is a great stopping point on a road trip between Colorado and New Mexico. Visit the great local attractions around this park, including: the Santa Fe Trail, Boy Scout Museum, downtown Raton's Historic District and Capulin Volcano National Monument. Depending on when you come, you can also look forward to small-town parades and fireworks, as well as various breathtaking ballooning events. Also be sure to take advantage of the horsehoe pits and game room, as well as the conveniences on site.

The June Bug is located in the Red River Canyon in a gorgeous spruce-ponderosa forest. Fall in love with this New Mexico oasis at this park where you will find plenty of picnic tables and acres and acres of raw forest for exploration. There are also trails for hiking and biking, and wide open skies for stargazing. Be sure to look up at dawn and dusk to catch one of those iconic New Mexico sunrises or sunsets. The trees almost seem to absorb the noises around you, so look forward to a peaceful, relaxing getaway. 

Eagle Nest Lake State Park is located in Eagle Nest on the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway. Expect a stunning landscape with the incredibly high mountains of the Moreno Valley. The lake is regularly stocked with trout and salmon, and visitors can look forward to ice fishing in the winter. At an 8,300 foot elevation, the campground enjoys mild weather conditions and fresh breezes. As such, fisherman, boaters, campers, hikers and wildlife enthusiasts are commonplace at the park, and an abundance of animals make Eagle Nest Lake an ideal location for wildlife viewing.

The Elephant Rock Campground is located in the Carson National Forest, and is well-known for the Red River and Eagle Rock Lake being nearby. Campers can look forward to excellent fishing at the lakes, as well as opportunities for kayaking, swimming and boating. Visitors can also expect great hiking trails and large open areas for picnicking and exploring. The area is thick with thriving forestry, so prepare for some spectacular views, and occasional bird or deer roaming the mountain regions. 

The Riana Abiquiu Lake COE located on a scenic bluff overlooking the scenic Abiquiu Lake in northern New Mexico. Look forward to the distinctive scents of the area from fragrant pinion pine, sage and juniper, as well as breathtaking sights from the colorful rock formations around the park. Visitors enjoy fishing in the lake, picnicking, boating, hiking and water skiing, and of course the gorgeous view of the desert vista.
