The Jemez Mountains is the breathtaking backdrop for the Fenton Lake State Park in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. The Eagle Gem RV Park is located near the Eagle Nest Lake, New Mexico, and is popular for water sports and sight seeing. Bring your bike and hiking shoes to explore the trails and un-chartered desert plains, and for some waterside fun, bring your poles for an excellent fishing opportunity at the lake. Visitors can also enjoy canoeing, kayaking and boating, and some stellar views at the sky at sunrise and sunset.

Get ready for a rustic, peaceful getaway at the Sands Cove Primitive Campground, where campers can truly relax in a distraction-free space. Look forward to a gorgeous natural terrain and a cove that's ready to be fished, and equally as great for paddle boarding and kayaking. There's also some beautiful and not-too challenging trails for hiking and biking, and if you get caught out at dusk, prepare for the spectacular light show of a New Mexico sunset. 

The Rio Bravo RV Park is located in Pilar, New Mexico and is great for its proximity to nearby attractions. Take a day trip Taos or Santa Fe and enjoy the southwest culture and historical beauty of these towns, plenty of great local dining, festivals and shopping. Near the park, campers can enjoy the quiet and serenity of bighorn sheep country, as well as breathtaking views around the various hiking trails. 

Grassy Point is located at El Vado Lake, New Mexico and is a great place to kick-back and soak in the spirit of adventure that exists everywhere in Tierra Amarillo. Look forward to gorgeous views over the lake and plenty of space for water sports like boating, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing and kayaking. There's also wildlife to view to keep your camera and binocular handy in case a bald eagle decides to visit your site. Be sure to look up on those dark nights to take in the light show which is in full swing at sunrise and sunset. You'll be amazed!

There are 19 primitive campsites at Windsurf Beach and Arboles Point, and are the perfect spots for a fun tenting trip out ini the gorgeous waterfront  areas. The sites are ideal for small RVs and tents, and are open year round but cannot be reserved so the off-season is the best time to head over there! The sites are right by the water, and with wide open spaces and plenty of gorgeous trees and clear skies, it's a photographer's paradise. Get ready for some stellar scenic viewing, hiking, biking, sunset viewing, fishing and stargazing. The sites are in a relatively remote location, so be sure to pack everything you'll need for a fun and distraction-free stay, but there is a post office, marine store and country store just a short drive from the park. The Riana Abiquiu Lake COE located on a scenic bluff overlooking the scenic Abiquiu Lake in northern New Mexico. Look forward to the distinctive scents of the area from fragrant pinion pine, sage and juniper, as well as breathtaking sights from the colorful rock formations around the park. Visitors enjoy fishing in the lake, picnicking, boating, hiking and water skiing, and of course the gorgeous view of the desert vista.

Located near Eagle's Nest on the scenic Enchanted Circle Byway is Cimarron River, home of the Cimarron Canyon State Park. The area is famous for its majestic trees, and dense forestry. Visit the park to enjoy fresh, crisp air, exquisite views and interesting geological features. Other than site seeing, visitors can look forward to excellent hiking trails, biking, fly fishing, equestrian trails and picnicking.

Eagle Nest Lake State Park is located in Eagle Nest on the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway. Expect a stunning landscape with the incredibly high mountains of the Moreno Valley. The lake is regularly stocked with trout and salmon, and visitors can look forward to ice fishing in the winter. At an 8,300 foot elevation, the campground enjoys mild weather conditions and fresh breezes. As such, fisherman, boaters, campers, hikers and wildlife enthusiasts are commonplace at the park, and an abundance of animals make Eagle Nest Lake an ideal location for wildlife viewing.

The Valve Tenders Group Campground is located in Raton, in Sugarite Canyon. Soak in the gorgeous views of the canyon as well as the sunrises over Lake Alice off in the distance, and fall in love with New Mexico all over again. There's plenty to do, so get ready for hiking, biking and lots of water sports like boating, swimming and fishing. You can also go horseback riding here, and go rock climbing along the canyon.
